PREMIER LEAGUE PREVIEW: Another big night of Premier League football with West Ham v Watford, Man U v Crystal Palace and the Merseyside Derby at Anfield.

West Ham v Watford 7-45

Watford arrive to play West Ham on Wednesday night trying to stop them from achieving two club records – first, they haven’t been beaten at home in the Premier League since August 2015, they have never gone 15 games without a loss at home in the Premier League. And second, they are also unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games, they haven’t gone nine without defeat since 1985!

Historically, Watford have been somewhat of a bogey side for West Ham, they have only managed one win in the last seven meetings. You have to go back to 2006 for that stat though and this team is different gravy compared to West Ham of a few years ago. They are having a wonderful season and currently sit sixth in the league, surely they should be able to beat this Watford side given the level West Ham have played to this season. They are currently 1.55 in the 90 minutes market but it could pay to look to the handicap markets for the best bet – there have been 23 goals scored in West Ham’s last five Premier League games, they have scored at least twice while also conceding at least twice, however Watford have scored only seven times in their last 13 games, so West Ham may be able to keep them quiet while scoring themselves at the same rate – West Ham -1 on the Asian Handicap is trading around 2.0 and that could be the value.

Liverpool v Everton 8-00

The Merseyside Derby – the fixture with the most red cards in Premier League history! It hasn’t been as hot tempered lately as it has been in the past though, as the last eight meetings failed to see a red card shown. If you fancy that tonight, its currently trading around 4.5.

The Derby may have come at a bad time for Everton form wise, they are without a win in their last six, drawing three of those though – while six of the last seven meetings between the sides has finished a draw, maybe we’ll be looking at that result tonight, its currently priced 4.2. Liverpool are odds on at 1.71, but haven’t won back-to-back Premier League games at Anfield since May 2015! They are unbeaten in the last ten Merseyside Derbies though – but have drawn seven of those ten. Liverpool do seem a bit short priced at 1.71, and the draw is the call here at 4.2.

Manchester United v Crystal Palace 8-00

Manchester United have never lost against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, winning ten and drawing three, and they have won all eight of the last meetings at Old Trafford – at around 1.56 in the 90 minutes market, do United look value? It was a sign of the feeling around the team at the moment at the weekend, that while they beat Aston Villa, the ground was half empty by the time the final whistle was blown. Has Louis Van Gaal just made them boring? All that aside, they should be able to take of Palace here, who are without a win away from home in the Premier League in 2016 (eight games) – but it could be another dull affair at Old Trafford. Under 2.5 goals at around 1.95 could be the value.
