So, we’ve reached the end of the season and it is time to say goodbye to some great mates and real Exiles legends.

I’d like to wish them all the best for the future – and to apologise for all the rubbish tips I’ve handed them over the years! Let’s see if I can give them a good one to end on.

This week I’m going for a Chelsea win against Liverpool in this afternoon’s FA Cup final and, although I’m not exactly sticking my neck out on this one, I am confident that the Blues will be lifting the trophy.

Roberto Di Matteo’s men are 8/11 favourites to do that on BETDAQ, with Liverpool available at 5/4. Those odds allow for extra-time and penalties, but I can’t see it going that far, so I would prefer to take the 6/4 for John Terry and co. to win the game inside normal time.

It feels a bit premature to asses either side’s season at this stage as both still have so much to play for.

It’s been a bit of a mixed bag for Liverpool so far, combining a disappointing Premier League campaign with glory in the Carling Cup. Delivering a second trophy would make it a far happier one to remember.

Chelsea could still end-up celebrating one of their best seasons ever if they win the Champions League and FA Cup – or one of their worst if they miss out on both and a top four spot.

Despite the fact that they have lost twice to Kenny Dalglish’s side this season already – those defeats came during their worst spell of the season back in November – Chelsea are absolutely flying under Di Matteo and come into this one in far more consistent shape than Liverpool.

Their squad is also packed with big name players who boast plenty of big match experience. They have won this competition three times in the past five years alone and I’m sure they’ll do it again here.

And while having so many players suspended for the European Cup final might be a problem against Bayern Munich, it should work in their favour here. John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Raul Meireles and Ramires will be even more desperate to win, knowing they will miss that game.

Finally, I just wanted to thank all our fans for their terrific support again this season and we look forward to seeing you back here in September. Have a great summer!
