BETDAQ, the Sports Betting Exchange, presented the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund with €3,400 at Fairyhouse on Sunday. This was money that was raised by BETDAQ at their Cheltenham Preview night in Café En Seine, Dublin the week before Cheltenham.

The items that were put up for offer realised €1,700 on the night with BETDAQ matching that amount for the IIJF.

A pair of Breeches signed by some of the biggest names in the weigh-room went for €500. Champion Jockeys AP McCoy, Barry Geraghty, Ruby Walsh, Paul Carberry and Davy Russell put their signature on them as well as with some of the big up and coming names from the saddle.

This went up for grabs along with a signed Ireland Football Jersey and corporate hospitality tickets for the recent Ireland European Qualifier against Poland in the Aviva Stadium.

“Cheltenham Preview Events are a big part of Irish Injured Jockeys fundraising efforts annually and we are so appreciative of the kind support shown by everyone involved. We would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in Café En Seine’s Cheltenham Preview, TV3’s Denis Kirwin for hosting and helping to organise the event and Betdaq for their sponsorship.” Andy McNamara, Secretary of Irish Injured Jockeys Fund.
