EMMET RYAN suffered a single defeat in his three midweek bets on the Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wins for Manchester City and Arsenal but Liverpool were the let down finishing as a draw. He now previews three of the big Premier League clashes this weekend.

It has been a desperately predictable few weeks for this column. Every time I come to you with winners, two out of three come good. Well it’s time to go up a tier with a push for a perfect three for three on a wintry weekend for EPL betting.

No game is going to see more action in its market than Man United vs Liverpool. There’s so much going on here. Two of the biggest names in the global game clashing at a time whether neither is entirely trustworthy to bettors. I expect to see a heap of casual money on this game in-running. Readers of this column would be well advised to pay close attention to market movements in the event of an early goal as the benefit of scoring first will be wildly over-played on the exchange. Keep your wits about you once the game kicks off and adjust with your head not your heart.

As for the game itself, United won ugly on Monday night but their soft centre is a big cause for concern. Liverpool however must make the short trip to Old Trafford as a team both physically and emotionally fatigued after exiting the Champions League midweek. That has me liking the home side to build on that less than impressive win over Southampton at 1.85.

Saturday evening’s game pits a Newcastle team fresh off a stunning win over Chelsea against Arsenal in the Emirates. So little did I rate the Toon’s chances last week that I didn’t even consider including them in the column. This Saturday they simply can’t be ignored as they take on an Arsenal side that has endured a hectic schedule of late and plenty of questions regarding the future of Arsene Wenger. As a dark horse bet, Newcastle’s price of 8 must be respected but I don’t see that as the value option. Instead I’m going with the Half-time/Full-time here where Draw/Arsenal offers good value at 4.8.

Finally we turn to the Monday night game where QPR take on an Everton team that is looking to get back in the swing of things. It’s been an up and down few weeks for QPR and I’m looking down on this one as Everton look much better than their current standing of 12th in the table. The market agrees and that’s why I’m going Half-time/Full-time again for value. Take Everton/Everton at 2.2 to cash in on Monday night.
