He now previews tonight’s Champions League clashes between Malaga v AC Milan and Ajax v Man City

Champions League 2012-13: Match Day 3 Wednesday Previews:
There are another eight Champion’s League group games tonight and after all of Tuesday night’s goals, action and excitement then the teams playing tonight have been set a high a very standard indeed and I hope they can at least maintain and even surpass it.

MALAGA V AC MILAN:

How Times Change:
For me the most intriguing tie of the week takes place in the sunny Costa del sol where impressive La Liga outfit Malaga host the most successful club in world football AC Milan. If I was told two years ago that a Malaga team will go off as slight odds on favourites against the ‘Rosseneri’ I would have been calling the men in the white coats!
‘La Rosaleda’ will be rocking tonight with vocal support from thirty thousand home town fans along with a few sunburnt Irish and British ex-pats thrown in as well.

Step it up?:
Malaga, under experienced coach, Manuel Pellegrini, are in incredible form and come in to this match on the back of just one loss in twelve competitive games this season. Their only defeat came away to Atletico Madrid, 1-2 and there is in no shame in that. They have picked up six points along with six goals from each of their opening two games and the consistent ‘Willy’ has yet to pick the ball out of his net. One of the strength’s that Malaga play with is their interchanging attacking style which allows almost every one of their outfield players the potential for at least one shot on goal(so never have a first player to score bet on Malaga match!). For all of the ‘Anchovies’ recent good form I believe that tonight they are going to have to step it up another level and the big question is can they?

A Point to prove:
AC Milan arrive in Andalusia tonight in a little bit of shaky form and maybe this is why Malaga have been so positive on BETDAQ these past few hours. ‘I Rosseneri’ have won one only three of their last ten competitive fixtures and lie fifteenth in SERIE A but I for one have not last faith in them. Top players like Montolivo, De Jong, Boateng and Abate will battle hard and create a few chances of their own. In my view AC Milan have been a little unlucky in recent games and are on the verge of ‘turning a corner’. AC have four points from their opening two group games and in a tricky away tie to an expectant Malaga they will try for three points but will be more than happy with just one. Expect to see the Italian club’s game plan to hold possession well and often for long periods with the aim of frustrating their hosts. They can score goals, nine from last six games, and if they can maintain that infamous Italian defending then I feel the odds on backers ,and the sunburnt ex-pats, could be in for a frustrating evening.

AJAX v MANCHESTER CITY:
Ajax, the club with world’s best youth academy that has produced some of the greatest Dutch talent ever to grace the game, perhaps most famously Johan Cruijff. However even if Ajax had two Johan Cruijff’s playing for them tonight I still would NOT back them! Apologies if this will be my shortest match preview ever but I take a simple view on this match, and it is that Manchester City will win. Of course the Ajax team tonight will at times play like Barcelona and will be nice to watch and I know Man City have been as dodgy at the back as their city rivals Man. Utd this season but I honestly feel that all over the pitch Man City will be too strong and skillful and they may even be in danger of keeping a clean sheet! I normally would not advise backing an odds on shot but as that great legendary race horse owner, Sheikh Mohamed always says “the only risk in life is not taking a risk”

Betting on BETDAQ-Greg’s Picks:
LAY MALAGA 1 point @ 1.92
BACK MAN. CITY 2 points @ 1.93

PROFIT TO DATE: 10.79 POINTS
