TUESDAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Tuesday’s games between MAN CITY v CELTIC, FC BASEL v ARSENAL and BAYERN MUNICH v ATLETICO MADRID with recommended BETDAQ bets.

Manchester City v Celtic

7.45pm Celtic were able to get a 3-3 draw at home to City earlier on in the group but its hard to see anything but a comfortable City win here. However, its debatable what side Pep Guardiola will name given that City are confirmed as runners up in the group and after losing to Chelsea at the weekend, there’s every reason why he might have one eye on the coming weekend’s Premier League game. That being said, Celtic have a terrible record in Europe and despite winning all around them domestically, they just aren’t up to this level. They’ve only got on the scoresheet in two of their last seven way Champions League games, and haven’t won away from home in Europe since 2012. Given Celtic’s scoring record and the fact that City have kept five clean sheets in their last six at home in Europe, a City clean sheet appeals at 1.67. But we prefer City on the handicap, they are currently 1.95 -1.5 goals and we feel that offers better value than the clean sheets.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester City -1.5 goals to beat Celtic at 1.95.

FC Basel v Arsenal

7.45pm After drawing at home against PSG on the last Champions League Matchday, bar a shock PSG loss at home to Ludogorets (they’re 1.19 to win), Arsenal look sure to finish second whatever they do here. So it would be no surprise to see Wenger rest a few of his first choice XI here with a very busy period coming up in the Premier League. You can definitely make a case for laying Arsenal here, thy currently trade around the 2.2 mark and have only managed two wins in their last six away Champions League games. Add this to the fact that Wenger could rest a few players, and the 2.2 lay looks more than appealing. Basel have actually won their last three at home to English opposition, beating Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United. They’ve a decent record at home in Europe and we expect it to be a tough night for Arsenal.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Arsenal at 2.2.

Bayern Munich v Atletico Madrid

7.45pm It’s a great shame that this huge clash has turned into a dead rubber with Atletico sure to top the group with Bayern in second. Bayern suffered a shock loss last time out in the competition away to Rostov, and will be looking to bounce back here. They have a superb record at home in the group stages, winning 20 of their last 21 and at the moment they are unbeaten at home in all competitions this season. It’s highly possible that Simeone decides to rest a few of his key players here with top spot already in the bag and with that in mind and Bayern great record at home, the 1.66 on Bayern looks big.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Bayern Munich to beat Atletico Madrid at 1.66.
