TUESDAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: The Champions League is back and we preview BENFICA v DORTMUND and PSG v BARCELONA tonight with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

BENFICA V DORTMUND

7.45pm We kick off the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday night with Benfica v Dortmund! Dortmund are one of six sides yet to be beaten in this years Champions League, however what should give Benfica hope is Dortmund’s record in the knockout stages. They’ve only managed two wins from their last eight, losing six of those – and Benfica have only lost once in their seven home knockout games. So we’re sure there will be plenty of Dortmund layers at 2.44.

Benfica also currently sit top of the Primeira Liga table in Portugal, so we expect a very tough night ahead for Dortmund, and Benfica look a shade of value at 3.25. We feel the value here though is in the goals market, with over 2.5 goals trading 2.02. Sometimes you get cagey first legs as we go further into the Champions League, but both these sides games are packed with goals. Dortmund scored a record 21 goals in the Group stages, while Benfica conceded the joint highest tally with ten goals. But Benfica have been banging in the goals recently domestically, and while Both Teams To Score is tempting at 1.79, we prefer over 2.5 goals at 2.02.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 2.02.

PSG V BARCELONA

7.45pm What a great tie to look forward to! Usually PSG nearly have Ligue 1 won by now but that isn’t the case this season as they currently sit in second three points behind Monaco, and only two ahead of Nice. Maybe that’s a sign that they aren’t the same team that they have been in recent years, they won the league by 31 points last season! If you look at their record against Barcelona too, it makes for poor reading for PSG fans.

For starters, PSG have never kept a clean sheet against Barcelona in all nine games that they’ve played – so while they’ll be happy to have home advantage here, it’s hard to see how they can stop Barcelona scoring. While if you look at the most recent meetings between the sides, Barcelona have won the last three, scoring eight times while only conceding twice. Barcelona also have a superb record in the Champions League knockout stages, winning nine of their last 11 games. We just feel that Barcelona are a level or two above their PSG side and the 2.22 on the away win looks quite big.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Barcelona to beat PSG at 2.22.
