WEDNESDAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: More Champions League action tonight we preview BAYERN MUNICH v ARSENAL and REAL MADRID v NAPOLI tonight with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

BAYERN MUNICH V ARSENAL

7.45pm Poor Arsenal, they never catch a break in the Last 16 Champions League draw! They’ve now actually met Bayern Munich four times in the last five Champions League knockout stages – with this being the third time in the Last 16. And with Bayern having knocked them out the last three times they’ve met, it’s not a surprise to see Bayern as short as 1.51 for the win in 90 minutes here, with them currently trading 1.39 to qualify.

Arsenal have been knocked out in the Last 16 in all six of the last Champions League seasons, while Bayern have won their last 15 Champions League home games – which is the longest winning run in the history of the competition – so good luck to Arsenal then! It’s really difficult to see Arsenal getting anything here, their best hope seems to be to somehow get back to London only 1-0 down or 2-1 down, or even somehow get a draw here. Maybe this game is where it goes wrong for Arsenal though, they’ve lost the first tie of this stage for the last five seasons.

With Arsenal not exactly in superb form in the Premier League, even losing at home to Watford recently, it’s hard to see anything but a Bayern Munich win here and at 1.51, they are just about big enough for us to back.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Bayern Munich to beat Arsenal at 1.51.

REAL MADRID V NAPOLI

7.45pm This is an interesting clash. Real Madrid will no doubt be expected to win here and progress to the next stage, however they have a woeful record against Italian sides. They’ve been knocked out in seven of the last eight home/away ties with Italian clubs in Europe. It will be a huge test for Napoli here to try and stop Real from putting the tie to bed in this leg, Real have now scored in their last 33 home Champions League games, the longest ever run in the competition. While they’ve won 33 of their last 39 at home too.

So it’s understandable to see Real at 1.58 for this clash, and if you’re laying them you’re probably hoping Napoli can do the classic Italian job on them. However Napoli are solid, but not quite top class, and they only sit in third in Serie A – nine points behind the league leaders. Against them further is that they’ve only managed one clean sheet in ten away Champions League games – so can they frustrate Real? The stats will say that they can’t, and we agree with them. We expect a win here for Real and the 1.58 on them looks about eight ticks too big.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Real Madrid to beat Napoli at 1.58.
