BETDAQ SPONSORS KEMPTON FIVE: There are such strong fields for a quintet of BETDAQ-sponsored races at Kempton Park today that Daqman tips a winner and a place bet in each race, plus the lay of the race.

SIX BANKERS WIN OUT OF EIGHT: Daqman starts the week with six winning bankers out of seven, still standing (six out of eight including a faller), 13 lays up out of 15 and seven out of eight naps placed. The value challenge scores are Daqman 8, Pricewise 2.

NOUVELLE CAN BOWL OUT ‘BENNY’ CENTURY

2.20 Kempton (Betdaq.com 2% Commission Handicap) This is Bennelong’s 100th race. He’s been placed 36 times, winning 10, five of them on this course.

He’s a tad high in the handicap but goes so well for Amir Quinn that they decided not to enlist the services of an apprentice.

I usually strike out horses thrown wide by a double-figure draw (Bennelong, Sexy Secret, Titan Goddess, Wowee, Charlie’s Star) but Bennelong’s style of racing allowed him to win here from stall 11 in October.

The snag with Bennelong is that his stable is badly out of form: five of its last eight starters have finished last or last but one.

Other yards in poor form are responsible for Thane Of Cawdor, Vastly, Red Dragon, Understory, Sexy Secret and Honey Badger.

The one we’re left with is Nouvelle Ere, trying to duck under the radar by carrying a nominal 6lb penalty before he’s reassessed.

Having said that, I can’t see the handicapper being all that impressed by his CD neck success five days ago, unless he takes into account that he had a wide draw (in 10).

He’s well drawn today in 2, and has a claimer taking off 3lb of that penalty. These two pluses sway me.

Jazri is another course winner who’s a distance winner, though not a course-and-distance (same race) winner. His stable is in terrific form with three scoring from the last six starters, all big prices by the way.

Jazri has had a phenomenal 17 races this year but only two of them since a summer break, so could be ready to return to winning form. He’s a tough little terrier when he’s on song.

WIN 6.6 Nouvelle Ere on BETDAQ this morning; PLACE 16.5 Jazri. PLACE LAY: Sexy Secret is badly drawn for a stable out of form.

WALAA LOOKS A PUCKA BET IN THE NURSERY

2.50 Kempton (Betdaq.com 50% Commission Refund Nursery Handicap) The Richards – Fahey and Hannon- are in top gear right now but so, too, the two Davids, Evans and O’Meara.

Walaa (Hannon), making his handicap debut, is by a champion sprinter, while Silver Springs (Evans) couldn’t carry a wicked 12lb rise but has now dropped below his winning mark of Lingfield in August.

Sunbaked usual gets behind early so its hard to see her winning, dropped back a furlong, after doing so well here over seven.

WIN: 9.2 Walaa; PLACE 13.5 Silver Springs; LAY Sunbaked.

4.50 Kempton (Download The Betdaq App Handicap) This is very tight: 7lb covers most of the field. Again, we need to try for an edge from draw, course ability and current stable form.

That takes out five in double-figure stalls, and poses question-marks over Shifting Star, Mezmaar, Perfect Alchemy, Dukes Meadow, Collodi, Showtime Blues, Flying Fantasy and Rocket Ronnie, who is up in the weights and has drifted wlel over my betting weir to 17.0 this morning.

Further queries concern Lupo d’Oro, Mezmaar and Perfect Alchemy, because winners of sprints now stepping up to a mile.

I rarely pick an old-timer, but Andrew Balding (no, the horse; not you, Andrew) has a change of jockey, Oisin Murphy, on CD-winner Breakheart, the animal he uses at home as ‘schoolmaster’ for his younger horses.

Breakheart didn’t fire at Chelmsford on the last day but that was after five months off the racecourse, and he could be perfectly primed for this.

WIN AND PLACE: 10.5 Breakheart. PLACE LAY: Rocket Ronnie

SCENE SET FOR THE NAP, DROPPED IN CLASS

5.20 Kempton (Betdaq.com £50 In Free Bets Handicap) This is class 4 and an edge from trainer form and the draw is not so likely to be decisive, but it helps.
That’s if they don’t cancel each other out; like Nortron should go well for Balding but is in stall 14.

Place shout still, but in three seasons 12 three-year-olds have all failed to win (third is their best score; twice).

Foreign Diplomat has run two good races in a hood but, though Midnight Dance is two out of three, he’s up in grade, whereas Trucanini (just holds Big Time) does well at this level.

Despite his age I prefer Steal The Scene, who put up a fine show, forced to the outside, when beaten a head and a neck in a class 2 at Chelmsford. This is a drop of two grades off the same rating.

WIN 6.2 Steal The Scene; PLACE Trucanini; LAY Appleberry

5.50 Kempton (Betdaq – We’re Serious About Sport Handicap) The stats here reveal the reverse of those for the 7f race at 5.20. In this sprint, three-year-olds win every time!

But that age group has just one representative today: Richard Hughes’ Lingfield winner, The Big Lad. Can he hold his form after just one run, one win? He beat ‘nothing’ at Lingfield (but, then, nothing beat him).

Sylvester Kirk is in flying form, so the danger may be Maymyo. Hardly an outsider; Daqman. No, but a solid each way bet; he’s been in the first four seven times in 11 starts.

The lay? Christine Dunnett has had 61 straight losers at Kempton in four years, and her Chelmsford winner, Humour, is high in the weights now and up a grade.

WIN The Big Lad. PLACE Maymyo. LAY Humour

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked 1 to 9; a banker would be 10)
BET 4pts win Nouvelle Ere; and 1pt win and place Jazri. PLACE LAY: Sexy Secret (2.20 Kempton)
BET 3pts win Walaa; and 1.5pts win and place Silver Springs. LAY Sunbaked.
BET 2pts win and place Breakheart. PLACE LAY: Rocket Ronnie (4.50 Kempton)
BET 5pts win (nap) Steal The Scene, and 2pts win and place Trucanini. PLACE LAY Appleberry (5.20 Kempton)
BET 5pts win The Big Lad, and 3pts win and place Maymyo; LAY Humour (5.50 Kempton)
