FOUR NAPS UP THREE WEEKS RUNNING:Daqman yesterday made it four naps a week for the first three weeks of 2017 when Yorkhill won at Leopardstown yesterday. See full list below, with profit and loss to 20-point stakes.

FOLLOW THEM ON BETDAQ FOR VALUE: Despite strong opposition, Yorkhill (WON 1-5), a Daqman Fortune Cookie, was a huge gamble and an eased-down winner. ‘As often happens, he was much better value on BETDAQ, but we have to settle all records at SP,’ he says.

12 NAPS AND 195 POINTS PROFIT

Four naps up three times! That’s the Daqman record for 2017, a nap, nap, nap, nappy New Year every week for the first three weeks.

At 20-point level stakes at SP (though some were much bigger on BETDAQ on the morning of their race), the Daqman best bets, which include four winning bankers, have raked in exactly 194.99 points profit.

KING DOESN’T LOOK MAXED OUT YET

2.20 Bangor Force Of Forces was just headed when coming down at the last at Wetherby over Christmas but that was only his debut and he could be expected to step forward on that performance. Dinsdale finished second in the end that day and re-opposes here, that was his second run and he can be expected to be in the mix again. But at the prices a chance is taken on Force Of Forces at 6.6 with Venetia Williams horses starting to hit form.

3.50 Bangor Whizzzey Rascal did the business for this corner last week and is fancied to follow up off 7lbs higher. Richard Johnson got on well with her that day and with the Gordon Elliott team remaining in flying form there is little reason to oppose her. She is a shade of odds on with BETDAQ at 1.98 and rates as a strong fancy to follow up last week’s win.

2.10 Newcastle Maxed Out King has been a revelation over fences lately and he may not be done improving yet. He did well to win here over further last time as he made a shuddering error at the third last when well clear. With a clean round of jumping today it looks like he will be very hard to beat and the 2.14 available to back on BETDAQ looks a fair price.

2.40 Newcastle Lough Derg Jewel took a huge step forward at Kelso last time and she is taken against the hot favourite Dubai Angel. Donal McCain’s horses are running out of their skin at present and if her performance can be believed last time she should have a big chance here. A price of 7.0 on BETDAQ looks generous and she gets the selection.

3.30 Wolverhampton The defection of Dazacam looks to have left the door open for Cajmere for the in-form Tom Dascome yard. He was a winner of a maiden over course and distance last month and ran well in a handicap at Newcastle last time. That performance suggests that he has races in him off this mark and he is not likely to find any better opportunities than today. The 1.84 available on BETDAQ should be taken.
