TWO CONTINENTS HOLD THIS WEEK’S BEST BETS: We go around the world today with our picks from Tipster HQ but we start close to home as Arsenal look to lock up an automatic place in the Champions League next season.

Make no mistake, this is way bigger than the FA Cup Final. While the choice between second and third is nominal in terms of its impact on Champions League spots and Arsene Wenger’s ability to attract better players, it is massive from a psychological perspective for the Gunners. This is a team whose fans have gotten too used to fourth and treating third as an achievement. They never expected a title run this season but second place would be a massive statement for Arsenal. Tonight is really big for the North London club.

They still need a favour from Man City at the weekend, where they would have to lose their last game, but a win tonight and they are in the big show for certain next season. Sunderland know a point tonight secures their place in the top flight next season but that is nowhere near enough for me to back them to get a result tonight. I’m backing the Gunners and I am backing them big. Bet on Arsenal/Arsenal on the Half-time/Full-time at 1.91 to win big.

Jumping to Scotland now and the promotion playoffs up north aren’t normally the most exciting of affairs for bettors but Rangers are trying to get back to the big time so that adds a touch of spice. Despite their massive support, there is simply no question that the Glasgow club hasn’t been at the races in the Championship this season. They are taking on a Hibernian team that is far from dominant but still one that has looked simply better than the Gers all season. A few years back, Rangers would be unbackable. Tonight, for me, they are but from the other perspective. I’m backing Hibernian at 3.2 for the upset.

Finally we leap all the way across the Atlantic to Major League Soccer where Sporting Kansas City take on the New England Revolution. Don’t let the funny names fool you, these teams still play the same kind of game we are used to seeing over here and the same old advantages play a big part. For Sporting KC, their home arena is a massive boost no matter who they welcome. It’s a long journey across country for the Revs tonight and I don’t like their chances at all. Bet on Sporting KC at 2.08 for the big win.
