Italy v Sweden

2pm The Republic of Ireland played superbly against Sweden in their first game however you’d have to say that Sweden were quite poor given their rating, and didn’t seem to offer a huge amount of trouble going forward. You’d have to think that a similar performance to the one Italy displayed against Belgium would see them keeping Sweden out, and they should be able to find the net at the other – an Italian win is currently priced around the 1.91 mark and that looks like a decent bet off the back of the first games.

An Italy clean sheet is also of interest an around the 2.16 and that certainly looks to be on the large side too, Italy haven’t conceded in their last three games – their longest run since 2013, while they are also unbeaten in 11 competitive games under Conte. You’d also have to fancy under 2.5 goals but at 1.61 compared to the other two bets, it doesn’t look to be huge value – however Italy have never scored more than two goals in their 34 games at European Championships so if you fancy an Italian clean sheet unders is certainly worth looking at too. On balance though we prefer the Italy win at 1.91.

BETDAQ best bet:
Italy to beat Sweden at 1.91.

Czech Republic v Croatia

5pm Czech Republic were doing quite well to keep Spain until the very last minutes but Spain deserved to win given they were all over them for most of the game. Croatia were workmanlike against Turkey but could have scored more than one, hitting the bar three times. We expected the Czech Republic to sit back again here, just not as much as they did against Spain – but this one could be a low scorer and under 2.5 goals is currently priced around the 1.7 mark.

Croatia are priced at 1.87 and while they should be able to out-class the Czech Republic, we feel that the price is just a few ticks too short to back and we much prefer under 2.5 goals at 1.7 or bigger.

BETDAQ best bet:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.7.

Spain v Turkey

8pm Quite difficult to get a confident read on this game as you would imagine under normal circumstances Turkey would be quite happy to sit back and defend, especially considering that Spain will likely have most of the possession – however after their opening loss against Croatia, Turkey will need to think about being more adventurous. A major problem for them though, Spain haven’t conceded in their last 600 minutes in European Championship games, and are unbeaten in their last 13.

We see Spain winning, but currently priced at around the 1.46 mark – we want to look for something a bit bigger to tip. Under 2.5 goals at 1.9 is tempting however it’s worrying thinking about what Turkey will do, will they go for it if they go behind? That should leave plenty of gaps for Spain to take advantage of and you could easily see plenty of Spain goals if that happens. Over all, we feel that Spain -1 on the Asian handicap is a nice bet at 1.8 or bigger. You get your stake back if that win by one, which is likely if Turkey sit back, and if the game opens up a bit, we think Spain can win by more than one.

BETDAQ best bet:
Spain -1 (Asian Handicap) to beat Turkey at 1.8.
