FA CUP PREVIEW: We preview the first of this weekend’s fourth round games – DERBY COUNTY v LEICESTER CITY at Pride Park tonight with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

DERBY V LEICESTER

7.55pm This is a fantastic game from a betting point of view to kick off the FA Cup fourth round! It’s always interesting from an odds point of view to have a Championship side going well against a struggling Premier League side. You couldn’t use any word other than woeful to describe Leicester away from home this season, and after beating West Brom in the third round, Derby will be confident of another Premier League scalp here.

The match odds at the time of writing currently stand at: Derby 2.88, Leicester 2.76 and the draw is 6.4. Derby will no doubt have plenty of backers here, they’re currently on a run of nine unbeaten games at home, winning seven of those. Add that to the way Leicester have been playing away from home this season and you can definitely make the case that Derby should be favourites here.

Leicester have just one win from their last 12 away games in all competitions, not the type of thing you want to hear when thinking about backing 2.76 shots. They’ll be hoping that the gulf in class between the Championship and the Premier League gets them through here but we struggle to see a Leicester win here though, they were terrible away from home at Southampton the weekend and with Derby’s very strong run at home, we feel that we have the wrong favourites here. It’s tempting to lay Leicester to be on the safe side, but at 2.88, we’re going to take a chance and back Derby.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Derby to beat Leicester at 2.88.
