FA CUP THIRD ROUND REPLAYS: We preview the three games on Wednesday night including PLYMOUTH v LIVERPOOL (7.45pm BT SPORT). We preview the games with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

NEWCASTLE v BIRMINGHAM

7.45pm If you looked at the current Championship table, you would think that Newcastle are good things here and at 1.62 look massive. However, they are struggling with injuries, and although Birmingham had home advantage first time around between the sides – they were much the better side after equalising and probably should have won the game. It’s possible that they have missed their chance in that affair, now having to travel to St James’ Park, however Newcastle have been showing signs lately that they aren’t quite as superior to the other Championship as we thought at the start of the season, even though they do sit top of the table by a point. We feel that this one will be closer than the match odds suggest, and are happy to have a small lay of Newcastle at 1.62.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Newcastle at 1.62.

PLYMOUTH v LIVERPOOL

7.45pm It will be interesting to see what team Jurgen Klopp names for this one, with the second XI not getting the job done at Anfield. He may be forced into selecting a few big guns here to get the job done, but you would imagine that Plymouth will likely employ similar tactics that seen them draw the first time around – and Liverpool could struggle to break them down, especially in the early stages. Much like the Newcastle v Birmingham game above, we just feel that this one will be closer than the odds suggest – Liverpool are currently 1.28 in the match odds market and given they’ve had three draws on the bounce, along with only two wins in their last seven away games – surely there are better 1.28 shots about this week. Plymouth are also unbeaten in their last five at home, and you imagine the atmosphere will be superb tonight, so we’re going to take a chance and back Plymouth on the handicap.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Plymouth +1.5 goals to beat Liverpool at 2.1.

SOUTHAMPTON v NORWICH

7.45pm Norwich will feel like this is the best possible time to come to St Mary’s with Southampton losing four Premier League games on the bounce. However, they probably have nothing to play for at this stage in the league, and they have to focus on Cup runs now to get something from their season – this was evident in their 1-0 win in the first leg of the League Cup tie with Liverpool. The problem with backing them here at 1.57 is that Claude Puel said he intends to rotate his squad, as he has made a habit of changing his side this season, and fans are starting to blame that for the poor run of form in the league. All this being said, Norwich aren’t in great form themselves, and have only won once in their last six – it’s hard not to see Southampton just outclassing them here, but there is little value in the price at 1.57. We feel like, similar to the first clash, there will be plenty of chances at both ends of the pitch here, and over 2.5 goals at 1.83 appeals more from a value point of view than the Southampton win at 1.57.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 1.83.
