PREVIEW

A day off for the column yesterday but it was a well earned one having landed the Wimbledon bet on Sunday with a 3-2 set score for Djokovic.

We played both the 3-0 and 3-2 outcomes and it was the better priced result (6.2 on BETDAQ) that was landed for a profit on the day of 21 points and enough to get our noses in front in July.

Three guesses what we are previewing today. Well make that one guess….

It’s the first World Cup semi-final between Brazil and Germany which clearly looks a cracker on paper.

It’s South America 2 Europe 2 going into the semis and is it written in the stars to be a Brazil v Argentina final ?

Brazil do have a massive question mark against them this evening. Neymar injured and captain Thiago Silva also missing through suspension.

It would be unwise to under-estimate just how big a factor this will prove. We saw how Uruguay were rendered very average when Suarez was suspended and it seems to be not just the skills of the individual footballers that’s the big issue but rather a shudder of self belief and confidence that goes through the whole team.

And then you throw in the fact that Brazil weren’t playing especially well even before the injury/suspension of their stars. They were grinding out results in front of their expectant home crowd and only just got past Chile in a penalty shoot out.

On the German side Joachim Low has reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match. Must be nice!

The fiver setter option worked for us on Sunday and again this is a match that is likely to go the distance so we are on the DRAW at 90 minutes with BETDAQ and if it’s 0-0, you get a Commission refund.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points stake per bet)
5 points DRAW at around 3.25 on BETDAQ

Sunday: +21.00 points
JULY RETURN TO DATE: +5.60 points
