Rajasthan Royals take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL Eliminator at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi today. As a knock-out game, a loss for either side will see them crash out of the lucrative tournament.
The winner will play Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, in what will be a second chance for Mumbai after their recent loss to Chennai Super Kings in the Qualifier.
The head-to-head record between the two sides this year stands at one apiece, with Rajasthan winning their home game by eight wickets, while Hyderabad triumphed in the reverse fixture with a 23 run win over their rivals.
Rajasthan qualified for the play-offs with a five-wicket win over the Chennai Super Kings but failed to win their remaining two games, which gave them no chance of making it to the top two. The Royals have been in good form overall this season, winning all their home games in Jaipue.
However, they have managed to win only two games on the road, something which has to be addressed before they take the field in neutral Delhi. They come here on the back of two narrow defeats but they were in blinding form before that, winning four on the bounce, and a return to that sort of form will make them hard to beat.
