PREMIER LEAGUE: We look ahead to the Saturday Premier League fixture list when there’s plenty of focus on the relegation zone.

Everton v Bournemouth 3-00

Everton and Bournemouth have met twice this season already, they drew in the league at Bournemouth and then Everton beat them 2-0 there in the FA Cup earlier this year. Everton will no doubt still be reeling after United’s late goal the weekend to knock them out, and they could be a good lay here at 2.02 but you wouldn’t want to go too mad as Bournemouth seem to be finishing their season poorly too.

Everton are without a win in seven league games, however Bournemouth have conceded 14 goals in their last five, winning only against Aston Villa – they seem to have finished their season early! But with Everton’s recent form, its very hard to back them at 2.02, and the lay seems more appealing with both sides out of form. There could be plenty of goals in this one if recent games are anything to go by, and over 2.5 is trading around 1.7.

Newcastle v Crystal Palace 3-00

The main focus of the Crystal Palace team in 2016 has been the FA Cup, where they have won five, but in 2016 in the Premier League, they have managed just one win, and have managed to collect just eight points in the calendar year – that’s as bad as Aston Villa (also with eight). That obviously screams back Newcastle, and they have been in good form lately too, drawing with City and Liverpool, and have managed more points in their last three games than in the ten before that. They are obviously stepping up when it matters, and are worthy of a small bet at 2.0.

Stoke v Sunderland 3-00

A tricky game to weigh up here, and its no surprise to see such an open batting market: Stoke 2.82, draw 3.35 and Sunderland 2.86. Stoke seem to be on the beach already after shipping 14 goals in their last four games, scoring only once in their last three. That would make you lean towards Sunderland who are fighting to stay up and while their away record this season is woeful, you would have to question how much motivation Stoke have at the moment and off the back of their recent performances, it’s worth supporting Sunderland here at 2.8 or bigger.

Watford v Aston Villa 3-00

Speaking of motivation in the above game, what a state Aston Villa have got themselves into recently! They have lost their last ten in a row, their worst run since 1963 where they lost 11 in a row, and Watford should be able to make it 11 losses in a row for Villa who seem to have given up. Watford themselves may be reeling after losing the FA Cup semi final the weekend however, and at 1.7 its not a bet that you’d want to lump on, but its almost impossible to back this Villa side at the moment.

West Brom v West Ham 3-00

West Ham games have been fun to watch recently! With over 3.5 collecting in five of their last six, and over 2.5 collecting in all six – so it’s slightly surprising to see over 2.5 goals trading around the 2.2 mark heading into this game. Although West Brom have been very tight lately, with over 2.5 goals only winning once in their last six games – however there is something about this West Ham side that brings goals at both ends and at the odds, its worth taking the 2.2.

Arsenal v Norwich 5-30

This game will be Arsene Wenger’s 750th game in charge of Arsenal, one wonders whether he’ll catch Alex Ferguson’s United record of 810? He should be able to celebrate that milestone with a victory here, Arsenal have won eight of the last 12 home games against Norwich but at around 1.3 in the win market, there doesn’t seem to be much value there. A more interesting angle could be under 2.5 goals at around 2.7, Arsenal have had under 2.5 goals in their last three, while Norwich have only managed four goals in their last six matches – for over 2.5 goals to win you could be relying on Arsenal to score all three. And with Ozil without an assist in eight games, and Giroud without a goal in 14 games – they could stutter their way to a win and under 2.5 could be the value.
