PREMIER LEAGUE SUNDAY: We preview Sunday’s three games in the Premier League with a recommended BETDAQ bet including Man City v Liverpool at 4.30pm.

MIDDLESBROUGH V MANCHESTER UNITED

12pm An early start this Sunday as United travel to Middlesbrough at noon. United came through their Europa League tie on Thursday night without much trouble winning 1-0 against Rostov, they have struggled at times this season for goals, and maybe Middlesbrough will set their stall out just to defend here and try to get a draw. Middlesbrough are in woeful form though, they’ve now gone ten games without a win in the league, while they’ve also gone out of the FA Cup last weekend. If they don’t turn things around quickly, they will be going down – a positive for them here is Untied will be without their main man up front Zlatan Ibrahimovic, however given the form that Middlesbrough are in, it’s very hard to get away from the United win here at 1.76. Middlesbrough haven’t caused many problems going forward this season, so we expect United to keep a clean sheet and at some stage find a way through Middlesbrough.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester United to beat Middlesbrough at 1.76.

TOTTENHAM V SOUTHAMPTON

2.15pm This should be an interesting clash! Spurs breezed back Millwall in the FA Cup last weekend netting six times – they suffered a huge setback in doing so with Harry Kanes ankle injury though. Southampton will still face a very tough task to try and beat Spurs here though, as they currently have the joint best defensive record in the Premier League along with Chelsea. With the way Southampton approach games against the bigger sides, we could see a low scoring game here. They will more than likely come here to defend and with Spurs main attacking man Kane out, we feel there’s definitely value in under 2.5 goals at 2.0. Spurs seem to be a shade short at 1.73 in the match odds market, and could be a good lay to trade.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 2.0.

MANCHESTER CITY V LIVERPOOL

4.30pm The highlight of the weekend, and you’d think whoever wins here will go a long way to securing their place in the Top 4. Manchester City will have to bounce back from the bitter disappointment of crashing out of the Champions League midweek. The odds at the time of writing currently stand at; City 2.02, Liverpool 3.95, with the draw trading 3.8.

Liverpool are an extremely tough team to weigh up at the moment. They have performed well against the big sides, but keep losing/drawing against sides that they should beat. The way City play though could really suit Liverpool, but they face a tough task to win with City only losing once at home all season – and that was against Chelsea.

Guardiola’s record isn’t the best against the top sides at the moment and that has to be a factor too as he finds his feet in the Premier League. We feel there is certainly a strong case to be made for laying City at 2.02.

We see this match definitely being closer than the odds suggest. Klopp’s system just seems to suit better playing against the top sides, so we won’t read too much into their disappointing results this year in relation to this tie. It’s tempting to take a chance with a Liverpool win at 3.95 but given City’s home form, we feel the best call is to lay City at 2.02 in what should be a very close game.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Manchester City at 2.02.
