8 FROM 14 WINNING NAPS: SHAMROCK made it 8 WINNING NAPS from the last 14 when Sandymount Duke won the last race at Leopardstown last night at 6/5.
Sandymount Duke made all the running to land the nap at 6/5 last night beating the odds-on Mountain Rock five lengths into second.
It’s now 8 winning naps from the last 14:
28 June: Pocketfullofdreams (NAP) WON 9/10
29 June: Pious Alexander (NAP) WON 8/13
30 June: Casla (NAP) WON 6/1
4 July: Elegant Pose (NAP) WON 4/6
5 July: Raymonda (PLACE NAP) WON 10/11
8 July: Its All Guesswork (NAP) WON 7/4
9 July: Ainsi Va La Vie WON 11/8
13 July: Sandymount Duke WON 6/5
Flat racing from Navan tonight and a jumps card from Cork.
The Godolphin owned, Mick Halford trained, Mirror Man looks the answer to the six furlong maiden at Navan at 6.30pm.
It looks a sensible move to drop him back in trip – he’s a front runner who found the seven furlongs too far at Fairyhouse last time out.
This looks quite a weak event and he is preferred to Sammyjade who is now nine runs without a win but ran her best race to date when second to Pious Alexander at Tipperary last time out but that came over the minimum trip and I’ve a suspicion that she will need the ground with give to show her best.
NAP: Mirror Man (6.30 Navan)
