TULSA JACK WON 5/1: SHAMROCK was on the mark on Sunday when his next best bet TULSA JACK stormed home to win the Cork Grand National at a juicy 5/1.
Great result with Tulsa Jack winning the Cork Grand National at 5/1 yesterday. And whilst the trumpet is out, I’d like to think I got it right about King Leon in the same race too. I pointed out how he makes mistakes and can throw in the odd shocker and it was again in evidence yesterday when he pulled up.
Less good news about the nap Marakoush who finished second in the opener at Naas. He was only beaten half a length on debut but I was disappointed that some of his flat speed couldn’t be injected in the closing stages. Up until that point he had done nothing wrong and looked the likely winner, not just in my eyes, he traded around 1.05 in running.

The strongest Irish challenge may come from the Willie Mullins trained Max Dynamite who has Frankie Dettori onboard. He’s in cracking form and stays this trip (and very likely more) but doesn’t have a great draw in two and is not handicapped to beat Ed Dunlop’s Trip To Paris on York form.
No bet for me but the nap will be to watch it live. Just can’t work out yet whether it will be a late night or early morning viewing. Evens each of two.
