MIXED CARD AT LISTOWEL STARTS THE WEEK: The going is heavy and SHAMROCK’s nap of the day runs in the novice hurdle at 4.35.
Tropical Three has been off the racecourse for 166 days but is selected to make a winnng reappearance in the 4.35 at Listowel.
It was a point to point she won at Inch on debut and she looks an interesting proposition today – particuarly with Barry Geraghty booked for the ride. The opposition are pretty much all exposed including market leader Chiltern Hills.
The six furlong maiden at 3.05 looks weak and Calissa has probably achieved enough to record a first win. Her third in a big runner maiden at Fairyhouse is good enough here and she was totally outclassed in Group 3 company at the Curragh last time out.
