TIPPERARY: Shamrock starts the Irish racing week at Tipperary and he is currently THREE WINNING NAPS IN A ROW.

Well I landed the nap on Sunday but sorry about the price. Manieree bolted home in the Listed race at Naas, winning by 7 lengths at around 1.36. In mitigation of the price, the second favourite Chrysanthemum was a non runner following her win the previous day and Loreto, who was prominent in the market, was withdrawn at the start prompting the price to be compressed further.

It does mean we are now THREE WINNING NAPS IN A ROW and hopefully can continue that sequence at Tipperary this afternoon.

It’s a shortened card at Tipperary today. The two steeplechases have been abandoned following an inspection. As a result a five-race card will be staged consisting of four hurdle races and a bumper.

The first race is due off at 2.05pm and the going is heavy.

We all know it’s a long way to Tipperary but it’s also a fair old journey from Peking To Paris – but hopefully a worthwhile one as Peking To Paris is the nap in the 2.35.

He has joined Adrian Maguire from Willie Mullins and the key to him really is the ground. His best form has come on ground like today and he shaped ok on his hurdling debut at Limerick on good ground when 6th of 18 and can hopefully do better in this modest contest on the testing surface.
