PEKING DUCKS OUT AT ODDS ON AND LANDS RARE LAY: After two naps out of two, the last one at 9-2, Shamrock’s best bet was second yesterday but he redeemed the afternoon’s betting with a rare lay, Peking To Paris (3rd 4-5).

Jessica has it at the double. But which of her two in each race can win the handicap hurdle and the bumper at Leopardstown today? Best play safe and back both.

Mrs John Harrington, as she likes to be known, has trapped both races in my opinion. Jenari (3.00) has been backed like a good thing this morning and Cheltenham entry Jezki (5.00) is strong in the market for the bumper.

But she’s taking no chances in the handicap hurdle with Robbie Power on Jenari and Barry Geraghty back on The Bull Hayes (has won after an absence), a tempting 9.4.

In the bumper, as well as Jezki, she saddles The Big Easy, thought to be a rank outsider, just having a run.

But The Big Easy, a Hurricane Run gelding, has shot forward in the betting to clear second at 5.0 (and 8.8 bar two) in the market as I write, with Philip Mullins in the plate. Jezki, forecast odds on, was comparatively easy to back at 2.12 at that time.

Won In The Dark (2.30), who took this race in 2010, seems to be on the way back but Pittoni is clear top rated of those in recent form and rates the nap.

The big race (4.00) has Organisedonfusion at a huge price (offers of 13.0) for an improving stayer who has won on today’s sounder surface.

SHAMROCK’S BETS
NAP: Pittoni (2.30 Leopardstown)
EACH-WAY: The Bull Hayes (3.00 Leopardstown), Organisedconfusion (4.00 Leopardstown), The Big Easy (5.00 Leopardstown)
DAQ YANKEE: Pittoni (2.30 Leopardstown), Jenari (3.00 Leopardstown), Donnas Palm (3.30 Leopardstown), Jezki (5.00 Leopardstown)
