TANDEM: landed the Saturday NAP when winning the opener at 2/5. The place bet in the 3.50 ended up winning the race – at 10/1.

Could today be the day ?

Sunday 2 September 2012 when Leitir Mor gains a first success? It will be a case of ninth time lucky for Leitir Mor who has been campaigned at a much higher level and has performed with credit in many of his races.

He finished a highly respectable 7th of 22 in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, for example, and since then finished second to Pedro The Great in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh.

This is his first try on the Dundalk surface but if he takes to it – then he really should find that elusive first success.

Mark Johnston sends over Polish Crown, a recent second at Pontefract, but this really should be playing second fiddle to Leitir Mor on the form book and he’s my nap to hopefully make it three in a row.

Seeking Luck has winning course and distance form next to her name in the 3.20 but I’d be surprised if she can cope with some very interesting debutants here and is a lay bet for me.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Leitir Mor (2.50 Dundalk)
LAY: Seeking Luck (3.20 Dundalk)
