DEEP BREATH ON DAY SIX AT GALWAY: Day six at Galway and it’s time to take a deep breath according to SHAMROCK in the 4.15.

Third place from the nap yesterday at 6/1.

Galway continues today with an ease in the ground – it is now soft (heavy in places).

My bet is in the Galway Shopping Centre Irish EBF Nursery Handicap at 4.15.

I like the look of Deep Breath – she scrambled home by a short head on debut at Fairyhouse and then ran well in much better class company at the Curragh last time out to finish third to Golden Spell.

She was doing her best work near the end of that race, suggesting the extra furlong this afternoon will suit well.

Aidan O’Brien runs Mount Wellington who is another stepping up in trip. He finished third in a maiden at Naas last time out over five furlongs and has so far proved a little disappointing and this step up in trip isn’t guaranteed to change things for the better.

Jessica Harrington’s Painting Pictures was a winner over this trip and ground on debut but was well beaten over a mile at Killarney last time out and should be better suited back at seven.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Deep Breath (4.15 Galway)
