BREEZE HOME AT LIMERICK: SHAMROCK’s nap on Saturday runs in the maiden on the Limerick card at 7.00.
They race at Limerick tonight starting at 6pm on good to yielding ground.
In the maiden at 7.00 I wanted to be against the Aidan O’Brien trained Puppetshow who ran well here in April when a close-up fourth to Mollie The Moo over seven furlongs and looked as if the extra furlong would suit.
However, she was a disappointing eighth over a mile at the Curragh last time out when a 11/4 favourite and might be vulnerable against some of the lightly raced improvers in the field.
My idea of the winner is Breeze who finished fourth in the Curragh race that Puppetshow was eighth in and looks capable of finding further improvement.
Roman Wells has been a beaten favourite in two of his three starts which have all come at Dundalk. He’s gone close though and if handling the turf surface will go close.
