DOUBLE GRADE 1 ACTION: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the two Grade 1 races at Fairyhouse this afternoon.

Two cracking Grade 1 races on the Fairyhouse card this afternoon.

2:50 Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Mares Novice Hurdle Championship Final (Grade 1) (4yo+, Class 1, 2m 4f, 7 runners)

Let’s Dance shows no sign of ending her winning run and quickened away nicely at the Cheltenham Festival to land the Trull House Stud Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – it’s hard to see how the runner-up Barra can turn the form around.

She is now bidding for six of the best and is versatile ground wise.

Willie Mullins is releasing plenty of ammo as he attempts to defend his trainers title and he saddles three of the six rivals to Let’s Dance.

Augusta Kate might give her stablemate most to do. She struggled at Cheltenham in the Albert Bartlett but should be more competitive over this shorter trip.

4:00 Ryanair Gold Cup Novice Chase (Grade 1) (5yo+, Class 1, 2m 4f, 7 runners)

Yorkhill has only tasted defeat once under Rules and has shaped up to be just as good over fences as he was on the flat in bumpers and over hurdles.

He won the JLT at the Cheltenham Festival and should have too much class for his rivals here.

Road To Respect won the Brown Advisory in fine style at the Festival having previously been beaten 32 lengths over a three mile trip in a Grade 2 at Navan. This looks his trip but he is still 11lb inferior on the ratings.

See you tomorrow for the ‘Gigginstown’ Irish Grand National.

I’ll leave you with this one thought !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
