The feature race is the Group 3 Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes at Gowran for which seven fillies go to post.
Jack Naylor is undoubtedly the class act in the race and is a big class dropper. All four of her races this season have come at the top Group 1 level. She ran a cracker in the Irish 1,000 Guineas earlier this season when fourth to Pleascach and was sixth to the same rival last time out in the Yorkshire Oaks. Conditions should suit ideally and she should make her class tell.
Easter is not far behind on official ratings but has had a busier season than Jack Naylor which might start counting against her and was comfortably held in the Group 2 Blandford Stakes at the Curragh last time out.
The Jim Bolger trained Spin Point looks the best bet on the Gowran card. The Jim Bolger trained three-year-old certainly went into my notebook when dead-heating for second at Galway on debut. The Godolphin owned runner can make a start at repaying his €210,000 purchase price.
