YORKHILL SUNDAY SPECIAL: Yorkhill (napped by DAQMAN and PROFORM) will be the banker for many punters on a thin day of racing.

With the UK meetings called off, more eyes than normal will be on Leopardstown for a good seven race card which includes the star attraction Yorkhill in the Grade 3 novice chase at 2.10.

Willie Mullins has won the last three runnings of this and Yorkhill will start at prohibitive odds to make it four and be the anchor leg of many punters accas no doubt.

He was top class over hurdles, winning his first six starts (including two bumpers) – most notably the Neptune at the Cheltenham Festival and the Mersey Novices’ Hurdle at the Aintree Festival. His winning run came to an end with a flop at the Punchestown Festival when he looked over the top.

He made a pleasing start to his chasing career with a win at Fairyhouse (as easily as his 1/8 price suggested he might) and should land this en route to Cheltenham again for which he is ante-post favourite for the JLT and still holds an entry in the Arkle.

Capital Force should be an earlier winner on the card for Ruby Walsh. He finished fourth here over Christmas and this looks a much easier contest.
