NAPS WINS AT 9/10: SHAMROCK landed his NAP (and only bet) on Saturday with Sandstorming at Cork yesterday. Can he follow up today?

A winning NAP yesterday with Sandstorming (NAP) who WON at 9/10 but only just !! He got up on the line to pip Zabalan by a head in a race where the front two pulled clear.

All eyes at Leopardstown and Newmarket this afternoon for Classic action and Classic clues.

There are three Group 3 races on the Leopardstown card including the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes at 3.20.

It looks quite an open renewal, despite the field of six. Aidan O’Brien trains half the field and preference is for the Shamie Heffernan ridden Yucatan who has 2lb to find with stable companion Capri on official ratings.

Yucatan has only won one of his five starts but has run some good races in defeat in good class company. Notably, last time out over course and distance when a length third to Rekindling in the Ballysax Stakes.

He finished in front of Capri and Dubai Sand who were fourth and fifth respectively but has a half length to find with Douglas Macarthur who is a little more exposed and I fancy him to turn that form around.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Yucatan (3.20 Leopardstown)
