GROUP 3 ACTION AT LEOPARDSTOWN: Great card at Leooardstown tonight which includes the Group 3 Ballyroan Stakes at 7.25pm.
The Ballyroan Stakes is the feature race on the Leopardstown card tonight and Aidan O’Brien looks to have a stranglehold hold on the race as he bids for a fourth consecutive winner in the Group contest.
Lead hope is clearly Bondi Beach who has started where he left off last season, although did have to work a little harder than his 1/9 price indicated when winning the Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan last time out.
He picks up a Group race penalty and this is certainly not easy for him. Stole companion Shogun showed his current well-being with a creditable third in the Gordon Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last time out.
I’ll take on the AOB pair with Stellar Mass who has won three of his last four starts and finished third to Harzand in the Irish Derby in the other start! He’s a hard horse to figure out but you sense he may still improve further and receives a stone from Bondi Beach.
