IT’S NOW 6 WINNING NAPS FROM THE LAST 9: And all have been odds against. SHAMROCK landed another nap with 10 length winner Time To Inspire at Galway yesterday. Get his verdict on all eight races today on day four.

That couldn’t have been much easier. Time To Inspire, yesterday’s nap, romped home by 10 lengths to win at 5/4.

The current 6 out of 9 naps sequence is:

Sunday: HOME OF THE BRAVE (NAP) WON 7/2
Monday: LEAN AND KEEN (NAP) WON 2/1
Tuesday: LOSER
Wednesday: NON RUNNER
Thursday: TANAZA (NAP) WON 7/4
Friday: PEACE MISSION (NAP) WON 7/4
Saturday: LOSER
Sunday: NO BET
Monday: TRUE SOLITAIRE (NAP) WON 6/4
Tuesday: LOSER
Wednesday: TIME TO INSPIRE (NAP) WON 5/4

Early start on Thursday for the eight race card with the going yielding (yielding to soft in places).

1:50 Guinness Dublin Porter Beginners Chase (5yo+, 2m 6f 111y, 12 runners)

I was wrong to oppose Thomas Hobson in the opener yesterday although his jumping still gives cause for concern. Willie Mullins has now won the opener for three consecutive days and guess what…. he’s favourite on BETDAQ to do it again. He runs As De Ferbet who has met consecutive defeats at 4/6. I’m not sure I want to go in at relatively short odds today. Clondaw Farmer is an interesting jumping recruit who was a bumper winner here and I’ll play on the BETDAQ place market at around 2.2.

2:20 Guinness Harp Novice Chase (5yo+, 2m 2f 54y, 6 runners)

A small but select field. Rock The World looks a little short here at around 2.18 despite being clear on official ratings. He was narrowly beaten by chief market rival The Game Changer at Roscommon last time out. He is a confirmed front runner who is likely to try and boss this but is a cheap enough lay in the hope that either Sizing Platinum or Shesaportrait can build on promising winning starts over fences.

3:00 Hop House 13 Handicap (60-90) (4yo+, 1m 73y, 12 runners)

Cairdiuil makes a quick reappearance after going down by just a head behind Beau Satchel here on Tuesday. He is a course and distance winner here who looks a good win and place bet.

3:30 Arthur Guinness E.B.F. Corrib Fillies Stakes (Listed) (3yo+, Class 1, 7f, 10 runners)

Dangerous words but it hasn’t been the greatest week so far for Dermot Weld. Three winners from his 16 runners and a couple have really disappointed at short odds, notably New Agenda in the finale yesterday and Valac on Tuesday. That gives me reservations about backing Tested here, especially as she disappointed last time out at the Curragh. Whilst she is the class horse of the race she has to be a lay and a cheap place lay for me.

4:05 Guinness Novice Hurdle (4yo+, 2m 4f 81y, 10 runners)

Gangster looks nap material for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh. He made a winning Irish debut at Roscommon over a similar trip and won well despite being weak in the market. The second and third have won since and the form looks solid.

4:45 Guinness Galway Hurdle Handicap (Grade A) (4yo+, 2m, 23 runners)

A great renewal in which Diakali tops the weights and also the BETDAQ market. The Willie Mullins trained six-year-old has twice finished fourth at the Cheltenham Festival (Triumph Hurdle, Vincent O’Brien County Hurdle) and comes here on the back of a very easy win in the Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary after a lengthy break. Down at the other end of the weights though I prefer the chances of Quick Jack who was just touched off by Trip To Paris in the Chester Cup when last seen. He is a class act on both the flat and jumps and can follow up the stables win in the race last year.

5:25 Guinness 50th Anniversary Handicap (50-70) (3yo+, 1m 3f 180y, 21 runners)

Magic Kitten is lurking at the bottom of the weights and the Dermot Weld trained runner looks interesting after making a winning handicap debut at Gowran Park at 20/1. He’s a place bet – confidence is tempered by the poor draw.

6:00 Guinness West Indies Porter Flat Race (5-7yo, 2m 2f 16y, 13 runners)

Prince D’aubrelle has finished second on both starts but has been beaten by good horses and this doesn’t look a tough assignment.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
1.50 Clondaw Farmer (PLACE)
2.20 Rock The World (LAY)
3.00 Cairdiuil (WIN and PLACE)
3.30 Tested (LAY and PLACE LAY)
4.05 Gangster (NAP)
4.45 Quick Jack
5.25 Magic Kitten (PLACE)
6.00 Prince D’aubrelle (NEXT BEST)
