MIN (NAP) WON 4/5: SHAMROCK landed his NAP on Boxing Day with Min who romped home in the Racing Post Novice Chase. He returns to the track today for the two Grade 1’s.

Min ran out an impressive nine length winner of the Racing Post Novice Chase yesterday to land the NAP.

Two Grade 1 races on today’s card:

1:20 PP Cashcard Chase (Grade 1) (5yo+, Class 1, 2m 1f, 5 runners)

Douvan. Not really too much more to say about this but the odds tell you that. He is unbeaten in 11 starts since joining Willie Mullins and has only started at odds-against once – in the Supreme Novices Hurdle last year at Cheltenham. He added the Arkle to his CV at this year’s Festival and certainly didn’t look in need of the run on his seasonal reappearance at Cork when winning a Grade 2 with contemptuous ease.

1:55 PP Future Champions Novice Hurdle (Grade 1) (4yo+, Class 1, 2m, 7 runners)

A much more competitive Grade 1 with Gigginstown owning three of the remaining seven runners.

The answer though may, again, lie with Willie Mullins and Riven Light. Those who saw him romp home on his Irish debut at Thurles will be keen to keep on the right side of him – despite the massive leap in class on only his second start.

Peace News made a winning debut at Cork but took a tumble in the Royal Bond when in contention two out.

Sunni Bay might be the biggest danger, he brings plenty of experience to the table and is a tough performer who deserves to take his chance at this level after a win at Punchestown last time out.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Riven Light (1.55 Leopardstown)
