WEDNESDAY BREAK: No Irish racing on Wednesday with racing resuming tomorrow at Leopardstown. Looking further ahead and Order Of St George’s chances of a back to back Gold Cup win have a taken a boost.

Irish racing takes a break today with a resumption tomorrow at Leopardstown with the feature being the Group 3 Oliver Brady Memorial Shabra Charity Ballycorus Stakes.

Yesterday’s nap, State Of Nirvana, finished third at 9/2 in the bumper at Roscommon. It looked a tough punting card and so it proved with 33/1 and 20/1 winners.

Looking further ahead to Royal Ascot, Order Of St George’s chances of winning a consecutive Gold Cup were boosted with the news that second favourite Vazirabad will miss the race.

His trainer Alain de Royer-Dupre said ”He took a knock during his prep run and there was bruising on his leg. It’s a shame because he’s in magnificent shape otherwise and we will now aim him at the Group 1 Goodwood Cup.”

Order Of The George, who would give Aidan O’Brien an eighth win in the races, is trading around 2.10 on BETDAQ.
