LISTED ACTION AT NAAS: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Listed Yeomanstown Stud Dark Angel E.B.F. Stakes – at 7.35.

No joy from the nap on Tuesday. I was caught out a little by the ground that looked no way as bad as it did on Monday at Ballinrobe.

Naas stage a seven race card this evening on expected good to firm ground.

The feature race comes at 7.35 and last year’s British raider Minalisa is back for more. The Rae Guest trained mare started co-favourite last year and won well on similar ground as tonight. She did however seem to be in better form coming into the race 12 months ago and hasn’t shown much in her two starts this year at Windsor and Salisbury.

Three-year-olds have a good record in the race and I am going with the Eddie Lynam trained Fort Del Oro who is the most inexperienced horse in the field.

I was hugely taken by her maiden win at the Curragh last time out where she travelled well and stayed on for a four and quarter length success with a similar distance back to the third horse.

This is clearly tougher but I think she has sound chances of reaching the frame and at early BETDAQ odds the place terms will give us an insurance against the win bet.
