I’m back at Killarney tonight for their mixed card which gets underway at 5.40 with the Ladbrokes Ireland Maiden run over 1m 6f on expected good to yielding ground.
I’ve been through all those with form and I’m none the wiser – it’s easier to find negatives than positives, so much so that it wouldn’t be the biggest shock to see one of the flat debutants win.
Safest bet on a tricky card might be Knocknanuss in the closing bumper for Nina Carberry.
Knocknanuss was a beaten odds-on favourite at Tipperary on debut but should do better on this better ground and slightly shorter trip. He is a PTP winner at Killeagh and frankly this doesn’t look a strong contest.
