PUNCHESTOWN WEDNESDAY: Racing from Ireland returns on Wednesday with a good card at Punchestown and the focus is on future chasers.

Races have been put back five minutes at Punchestown today following the news that Ayr has been abandoned.

As discussed yesterday the Ballymore Christmas Fair & Family Fun November Festival Beginners Chase looks a good race today and brings together chasing debutants Our Vinne and Morning Assembly both of whom were smart hurdlers.

The two are at the front of the BETDAQ market for the race but there’s also been support for the Dessie Hughes trained Si C’Etait Vrai who was rated 137 over hurdles.

It’s a tough race to call today with narrow preference, for me, for Our Vinne who has schooled well at home according to trainer Charles Byrnes.

Best bet on the card is Lucky Bridle in the opener who is another French recruit for Willie Mullins. He went close in a Listed race at Deauville and is more than likely to outclass his rivals here on his hurdling debut.
