A QUIETER PREMIER LEAGUE WEEKEND There is a couple of games less than usual in the Premier League due to the EFL Cup on Sunday afternoon. This means top sides like Arsenal and Man City won’t be on show at all this weekend, which is disappointing in the case of City to see if they could follow up their 5-3 thriller during the week. Anyways, let’s have a look at the best bets for this round of Premier League fixtures.

West Brom v Bournemouth

3.00pm Saturday I’ve got one clear winner in this game. I have been very high on West Brom over the past few months and they have kept on impressing against all sides outside of the top six. They have gotten some excellent wins under their belt this year and I think they can close out the season quite strongly. Bournemouth have been pretty up and down for a lot of the season, and really have not been good away from home even when you look back to last season. Against a team as tough to play as West Brom things do not look great for them tomorrow.

Other than form I think West Brom have a clear advantage in physicality. I have pointed towards this aspect of their game on a regular basis this year and I think it will have a bigger impact on this game compared to most. Bournemouth always try to play a good brand of football whether they are at home or away. It is always more difficult to do away from home no matter who you are up against, that will be incredibly difficult against such a physically strong West Brom side. You can be guaranteed that Bournemouth will get absolutely nothing easy tomorrow afternoon. Set pieces will surely be an are that West Brom will target as well. They have a number of six footers in their side, Bournemouth just won’t be able to match up. For me there is one winner here and at over evens you can get them at an excellent price.

TONY’S BEST BET:
Back West Brom at 2.12.

Leicester v Liverpool

8.00pm Monday I just want to start off by saying it is really disappointing that Claudio Rainieri was fired during the week. What he achieved last season was nothing short of remarkable and to go in the way he did just didn’t seem right. The players apparently pushed him out which seems crazy when you see how close the whole unit was last season, but that is the way modern football is. It is now up to the players to turn things around and get themselves through this relegation battle.

As clear as it is that there is several problems at Leicester this season, I think the odds are way off for their game on Monday morning. Sure Leicester have been in horrid form, but Liverpool haven’t actually been much better since the calendar reached 2017. They have gone from real title contenders to looking somewhat unlikely to make the Champions League come the end of the season. I think you always have to look at the way a team performs after the firing of a manager, generally they are more up for the next game compared to any other time. If they forced him out (like Liecester players did) they want to show that they are better without that manager, and they also have to show their worth to their new manager.

I think you can expect a reaction from Leicester on Monday night, and considering Liverpool’s form it really wouldn’t be that much of a shock to me to see Leicester get something from this game. I have been in good form lately on the Lay side of heavy favourites and I feel more confident about this one than I have many of the previous occasions. At the price available I think Liverpool is a must Lay.

TONY’S BEST BET:
Lay Liverpool at 1.65
