Last weekend’s result at Old Trafford will have sent tremours through the Premier League and it’s up to the rest to catch Roberto Mancini’s team now. One of the chasing pack are Liverpool, who have come up short in their last two league games. The Reds were unlucky against both United and Norwich, so I’m expecting a serious backlash and I fear for the Baggies.

Liverpool are one of my bankers for the weekend and I’ll be sticking them in my doubles and trebles all day long. I also really fancy a penalty in the game as I’ve seen West Brom really flying into challenges over the past few games. Steven Gerrard is finding his feet after a long time out and it should be worth backing him to get on the scoresheet at the Hawthorns.

Sunday’s offering is going to be an interesting one when QPR travel to White Hart Lane. QPR will be buzzing after their win against Chelsea, but to me they looked pretty lucky to get all three points – even playing against nine men. Still the result will have given them the boost they need to take on an in-form Spurs side.

After a difficult start, Harry Redknapp has worked wonders to get Spurs back up the table and they look a real handful. The mercurial Rafael Van der Vaart looks to be enjoying his football again, while also getting back amongst the goals.

Spurs will be far too strong on Sunday and I fully expect them to extend their winning run.

The final Premier League game is a fascinating contest unbeaten Newcastle head off the Britannia on Monday evening. Everyone knows what Stoke are about and they’ve shown they’re a match for anyone with draws against United and Chelsea already.

Alan Pardew continues to get the best out of his side and they weren’t at their best against Wigan, but still took all three points. I’ve been really impressed with Newcastle at the back and they’ll need to bring their a-game for the Stoke aerial assault. The two teams are evenly matched and the draw looks the most likely outcome here – a result I feel both managers would settle for.
