Good weather has equaled good scores at the AT&T National Pro-Am this week, as 121 players are under par through 2 rounds and 49 currently sit at -6 or better. Australian Matt Jones and American Brandt Snedeker are tied at the top at -12, but they’ll need to stay aggressive if they want to hold off the pack nipping at their heels.

We had a very profitable day yesterday, cashing with Bo Van Pelt, Jonas Blixt, and Graham DeLaet and losing only our Jason Kokrak bet. It will be a really nice week if one of our three pre-tournament picks makes a serious run, and all three (Spieth at -8, Chappell at -8, Lowry at -7) are poised to do so. Here’s what we have in mind for today:

**analysis of the outright market found here

Chesson Hadley (2.2) vs. Kevin Na (1.83)

Hadley has played some great golf this week and he currently sits just 2 back of the lead, some 6 shots ahead of playing partner Na. However, he’s been struggling a bit on the year, as he had missed consecutive cuts heading into this week and has carded scores like 77 and 78 over the past month. Na has been solid but unspectacular over the last two days, but he’s broken par in 12 of his last 14 rounds and he’s has plenty of success at this tournament over the course of his career. I believe he’ll get it done today. Recommendation: Na at 1.83

Nick Watney (2.1) vs. Jim Furyk (1.91)

The amateurs that these guys have played with have been treated to some excellent golf over the last couple of days, as both Watney and Furyk currently sit at -9, just three back of the lead. This is Furyk’s first event since the Ryder Cup but there obviously hasn’t been much rust, and he has years of experience at Pebble Beach, where he and Watney will be playing today (reminder: this event is contested on three courses). Watney has plenty of experience at Pebble too, though, and he’s played very well lately, putting himself in contention at last week’s Farmer’s Insurance Open before finishing 7th. Call it a hunch, but I think Watney, who has played a lot more competitive golf that Furyk over the last couple of months, will be the better man today. Recommendation: Watney at 2.1

Padraig Harrington (2.62) vs. Shane Lowry (1.61)

I’ve been all-in on Lowry this week, from picking him before the tournament at 40/1 to backing him against Harrington in the 1st round. And though his 69 wasn’t quite good enough to best Padraig in round 1, there’s nothing that has happened over the last two days to change my opinion of the young Irishman and the current state of his game. Lowry is striking the ball incredibly well at the moment, and our insiders (you’ll have to trust me on this) assure us that his disposition is right where it needs to be. This guy is a hungry young player who will make his mark on the worldwide stage this year– remember I said it. Harrington is a class player but “young” and “hungry” aren’t adjectives that could be used to describe him at the moment, and he had been playing terribly heading into this event, missing three straight cuts. I’ll think I’ll take my chances with the rising star. Recommendation: Lowry at 1.61
