XSP PUNCHESTOWN SHOWS MASSIVE GAINS ON SP: Punchestown XSP – over £1,500 better off for £10 stakes with BETDAQ!

It was a wonderful week at Punchestown this year. We had a week jam packed with drama and plenty of shocks! As we have done in the past, we compared the BETDAQ XSP to the Industry SP to highlight where the value is!

For those of you that don’t know, the BETDAQ XSP is basically the price of the horse at the off. On a market where the XSP icon is displayed, BETDAQ will calculate the XSP when the market is being turned in play. BETDAQ customers can select to have any unmatched back or lay bet matched at XSP by ticking the ‘Take XSP’ box when placing the bet.

With that explanation out of the way, let’s look at the results of Punchestown 2018!

TUESDAY

Douvan was the star attraction on day 1 of the festival, however he jumped poorly and it was Un De Sceaux who came home in front at an XSP of 5.65. We had huge drama in the 6-40 as Paul Townend thought he had to go around the final fence instead of jumping it and it was left to The Storyteller to take first place! Draconien was Willie Mullins first winner of many this week and he returned at a huge XSP of 47.92 – Industry SP was only 26.0! Over all today you would have made £565.48 more on BETDAQ for just £10 stakes!

WEDNESDAY

This was the day that Willie Mullins took control of the Trainers Championship. He landed six of the seven winners on the card! On BETDAQ, you would have made £450.75 more betting at the XSP compared to the Industry SP for £10 stakes again. Bellshill took the Gold Cup at an XSP of 5.21 and we had a shock in the first with Prince Garyantle winning at an XSP of 67.18 on BETDAQ compared to just 26.0 Industry SP.

THURSDAY

The Willie Mullins show continued on Thursday with Faugheen bouncing back to form and landing the Stayers Hurdle at an XSP of 6.61 on BETDAQ! He got a wonderful exception from the crowd and that would have been the highlight of the week for many! Footpad was very impressive too – will he beat Altior next season? On the betting front, you could have made £102.98 more on BETDAQ today – the lowest total of the week, but still a healthy difference!

FRIDAY

Friday was the highlight for us sponsoring the BETDAQ 2% Commission Champion Hurdle. The race was packed with drama as the favourite Samcro fell, and at the same hurdle his closest rival in the market Melon fell too! It was left to Supasundae to come home in front at an XSP of 8.31. Dortmund Park landed the other Grade 1 on the card at an XSP of 29.59 on BETDAQ compared to the Industry SP of just 17.0. On BETDAQ, you would have made £187.21 more today!

SATURDAY

On the final day of the festival you would have ended up with £256.74 more profit betting at the BETDAQ XSP compared to the Industry SP to end a wonderful week. Saldier sprang a surprise when winning at an XSP of 17.71 and Benie Des Dieux landed the other Grade 1 at an XSP of 4.39!

Over all on the week, you would have made an extra £1,563.16 betting at the BETDAQ XSP compared to the Industry SP for just £10 stakes! That’s after paying only 2% commission too – so it really shows where the value is leading up to and at the off! But don’t take our word for it, check our the BETDAQ XSP on site!
