It’s a massive game today, and Harlequins have made a strong start in defence of their title, but after another victory last weekend we’re rolling along nicely and go into the derby full of confidence.

Unfortunately, it hasn’t been such a good few weeks for my bets in this column, so here’s hoping that everything goes right this weekend!

I should have known better than to get involved on the Arsenal game against Norwich. Once again, there looked to be something missing after the international break and the Canaries deserved the victory they fought so hard to achieve.

This time out I’ll leave the Gunners well alone, even though Queens Park Rangers at home is a very winnable fixture – on paper at least.

One option is to look at another of today’s big derbies – the Merseyside one – except that I just can’t call it. I’d be looking to back Everton had they not drawn with QPR last weekend and Liverpool winning against Reading will give them plenty of encouragement.

It grinds me to do it, but I’m going to have to go with Chelsea to beat Manchester United instead, at 2.41 on BETDAQ.

Chelsea impressively beat Tottenham 4-2 in a match that many thought they would slip up in and the Blues have only dropped two points all season long.

Roberto Di Matteo’s charges are closing in on the Manchester sides in the Premier League betting and they will be shorter than the odds of 3.7 currently available on BETDAQ if they beat the Red Devils later.

As well as hitting top form this term, Chelsea haven’t lost to United at home in the league since April 2002 when Claudio Ranieri was their boss and Paul Scholes, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were scorers for the visitors in a 3-0 win.

Despite defeats to Everton and Spurs, United came into the weekend second in the table and collecting three points would take them to within one of the Blues at the summit.

However, this Chelsea team looks strong and Di Matteo has plenty of talent to choose from, enough that they can cover for John Terry’s suspension, and the Italian’s attacking options could cause a threadbare United defence too many problems.
