CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Tuesday’s two Champions League quarter final second leg games between MANCHESTER CITY v LIVERPOOL and ROMA v BARCELONA, both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

MANCHESTER CITY V LIVERPOOL

7.45pm It’s been a dreadful week for Manchester City, but they have a chance to turn things around here. It won’t be easy after losing 3-0 in the first leg, but we’re sure to have another excellent game ahead of us. Champions League nights have a special bit of magic at Anfield, as we seen last week, however it’s very hard to see City fans getting close to that atmosphere – and when sides are faced with a task like this, the crowd and atmosphere can add a lot at the start of the game.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Manchester City 1.5, Liverpool 6.8 and the draw is 5.3. In the last two clashes between these sides, Klopp has had Guardiola’s number – an attacking brand of football that City can’t seem to cope with. We seen it at the weekend too, when United and Mourinho were forced to attack – they had success. Mentally this is interesting; because of the scoreline, will Klopp set his side up a little more cagey than usual? It has to be likely. Everyone expects goals, but we can see Liverpool arriving just to get the job done, keep the game quiet, and get to the next round. Under 3.5 goals is trading 1.96 and that looks great value, although it’s not what most punters will be backing or want to see!

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 3.5 goals at 1.96.

ROMA V BARCELONA

7.45pm Barcelona effectively put this tie to bed in the first leg when winning 4-1. Most punters may give City a sporting chance of turning around the three goal deficit but not many will be giving Roma a chance! The markets agree, with Barcelona odds on to win in 90 minutes. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Roma 5.2, Barcelona 1.69 and the draw is 4.5.

While Roma might not have the class to match Barcelona, the away side look a little short here. With a 4-1 lead, it’s hard to see Barcelona being too attacking from the start and they will be happy to play out a boring affair here to get to the next round. They look around ten ticks too short at 1.69 – they have also drawn at Olympiakos, Juve and Chelsea in the Chmpions League away from home this season. Granted that Juve and Chelsea are better than Roma; but it goes to show that Barca aren’t blowing away sides away from home. We’re happy to lay Barcelona from a value point of view, and feel this game will be closer than those odds suggest.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Barcelona at 1.69.
