CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TUESDAY: We preview Tuesday’s Champions League games between MAN U v PSG and ROMA v FC PORTO with recommended BETDAQ bets.

MANCHESTER UNITED V PSG

8pm The Champions League returns on Tuesday night and what a way to start as Manchester United host PSG. The buzz is certainly back around United with Solskjaer in charge but this is a massive test for him. Things have certainly got easier for United given the injures for PSG, Neymar was always going to miss this game but now Cavani could also be ruled out after going off injured at the weekend. PSG without Neymar and Cavani just won’t be the same team and this could be a huge opportunity for United to go and settle the tie.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Manchester United 2.4, PSG 3.2 and the draw is 3.55. Obviously PSG are played teams at a much lower level each week in Ligue 1 so it’s always hard to know what to make of their domestic form; however there are signs that it has dropped in recent weeks. Lyon recently beat them, PSG’s first loss this season and they crawled to a 1-0 win at home to Bordeaux at the weekend. With Untied in such good form and especially Pogba and Martial creating so many chances in front of goal, we feel that tonight is an excellent time to back United. The 2.4 on them looks massive considering the way the teams arrive into this fixture – PSG are missing key men and United are full of confidence; the 2.4 is too big.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester United to beat PSG at 2.4.

ROMA V FC PORTO

8pm This is an interesting clash and you have to say that both teams would have been delighted with the draw. The bigger sides would have been looking at these two hoping to get them but it sets up an fascinating fixture between them. Porto are unbeaten in the Champions League this season and topped their Group with bells on; only drawing one game and winning the rest. Obviously Roma had the tougher Group with Real Madrid in it, and were always playing for second – Madrid beat them twice and they also lost their last fixture in the Group.

Roma are favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Roma 2.16, FC Porto 3.95 and the draw is 3.5. Porto did have the easier Group stage however they put in some impressive performances away from home and they did have some tricky away fixtures – maybe not high quality sides but places that are always tough – Galatasaray can always be intimidating. The Roma fans will certainly have an excellent atmosphere but we feel that they are a little short at 2.16. They’ve been conceding plenty of goals lately and Porto topped their Group scoring the same amount of goals at Bayern and one behind City – and very similar goal differences too. We expect them to prove a very tough test for Roma here and from a value point of view, we’re happy to lay the home side at 2.16.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Roma at 2.16.
