CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TUESDAY: We preview Tuesday’s Champions League matches with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended match stats. It’s REAL MADRID V PSG, TOTTENHAM V OLYMPIAKOS. MANCHESTER CITY V SHAKHTAR DONETSK and JUVENTUS V ATLETICO MADRID.

REAL MADRID V PSG

8pm This could have been an absolutely massive game, however the Group has already been decided. We still should have a very entertaining game but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see both sides rest players. PSG have won every game in Group A while Real Madrid have struggled at times. Perhaps it would mean more for PSG to win away from home as a confidence boost given how poor their league is, but the reality is the players will just want this fixture out of the way.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Real Madrid 2.4, PSG 2.94 and the draw is 3.8. PSG absolutely bossed the first meeting between the sides in Group A, running out easy 3-0 winners in Paris. Obviously we expect some changes to both teams here given the Group situation, but the 2.4 on Real looks way too short. They haven’t been firing this season and they’ve been under par in La Liga too. We expect PSG to make the 2.4 look very short and we’re happy to lay the home side.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Real Madrid at 2.4.

TOTTENHAM V OLYMPIAKOS

8pm It was all change for Spurs during the International Break as Jose Mourinho came through the door! Not many were expecting that but he got off to a winning start and while Pochettino was a superb manager, there was definitely trouble in the camp. It’s hard to let a manager like that go but sometimes there’s no other option. We won’t fully know what went on in the dressing room to make them play so poorly this season. Spurs are certain of second spot in Group B meaning a tougher knockout tie, so more difficult challenges lie ahead for Jose.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Tottenham 1.36, Olympiakos 10.5 and the draw is 5.7. When these two sides met earlier in the Group, Spurs threw away a two goal lead. Even with Moruinho in charge and home advantage, they look pretty short at 1.36. It’s hard to know what sort of side Mourinho will name here given the Group situation too. Spurs look a little short at 1.36, however given how well they started under Mourinho we’d much rather back over 2.5 goals at 1.6 which looks good value in what should be an open game.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 1.6.

MANCHESTER CITY V SHAKHTAR DONETSK

8pm Manchester City could only manage a draw last time out in this Group away to Atalanta, but they are already assured of top spot. You’d have to expect Guardiola to rest some of his stars here given the Group situation and a very busy December coming up domestically too. City ran out 3-0 winners away from home when they player Shakhtar, however the away side have everything to play for here with a second place spot in the Group available while City just want to get the fixture out of the way.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Manchester City 1.22, Shakhtar Donetsk 16.5 and the draw is 7.8. Shakhtar are currently in second position in Group C but they are level on points with Dinamo Zagreb who have to play Atalanta away tonight too. We feel that the 1.22 on City is more than a little short given the Group situation. We expect changes from City and with Shakhtar having more to play for, City appeal as a good value lay at 1.22. We expect a closer game than those odds suggest and City are a cheap lay at the odds.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Manchester City at 1.22.

JUVENTUS V ATLETICO MADRID

8pm What a clash! There’s only three points between these two in Group D with Juventus leading the way on ten points and Atletico behind them with seven. We’ve seen this fixture a lot in recent times, and Juventus won 3-0 here in the knockout stages last season after Atletico took a 2-0 lead into that game. Juventus managed to get a 2-2 draw away to Atletico and the away side haven’t really been firing this season.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Juventus 2.16, Atletico Madrid 4.1 and the draw is 3.25. Juventus look great value here at 2.16. Atletico need to win, so we can expect a more open game than usual when Atletico face a big side away from home. They will have no choice but to attack and that will leave gaps at the back for this excellent Juventus side. They have proven to be better than Atletico here and they can win again.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Juventus to beat Atletico Madrid at 2.16.
