CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WEDNESDAY: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League games between AJAX V CHELSEA and RACING GENK V LIVERPOOL both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

AJAX V CHELSEA

5-55pm Group H could easily turn out to be of most interesting Groups in the Champions League this season. Ajax currently top the Group with two wins from two, while Valecnia and Chelsea both have three. Chelsea and Valencia winning tonight would really have the Group wide open! The Premier League side face an incredibly tough game tonight though, and if truth were told they’ll probably take a draw.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Ajax 2.36, Chelsea 3.2 and the draw is 3.7. Ajax may have turned out to be the “surprise package” of last year’s Champions League, but nobody doubts their class now. Chelsea improved in the lead up to the International Break and they returned with a win too. Even considering that we can’t get away from the 2.36 on Ajax here – that price look at least ten ticks too high. Ajax have been excellent in recent times and have netted six goals in their two Champions League games without conceding. We can see Ajax outscoring this Chelsea side given their troubles at the back this season and we’re happy to take the 2.36.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Ajax to beat Chelsea at 2.36.

RACING GENK V LIVERPOOL

8pm Liverpool’s winning run in the Premier League may have ended at the weekend at the hands of Manchester United, but they need to focus on the Champions League now. A loss to Napoli in their opening fixture left them in an awkward position considering it’s such a boost to top each Group, however with Napoli only drawing with Genk now the door is opened again for Liverpool to top the Group.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; 11.0, Liverpool 1.29 and the draw is 7.0. Genk got a 0-0 draw here with Napoli, so while Liverpool are expected to get the job done – it won’t be easy. Indeed Liverpool are the shortest price of any side away from home in the Champions League this week, and while they are the top team in Europe at the moment, it’s hard to lump on odds of 1.29. We expect Liverpool to win, but Genk can keep this one reasonably close. Any Other Away Win (Liverpool to score four or more and win) it 3.7 in the Correct Score market at the moment and that looks very short. We’re very happy to lay that price.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Any Other Away Win at 3.7.
