LUCK IS A LADY FOR AN 18-1 DAQMAN HIT: Daqman has made a profit of more than 56 points in three days, topping up a sequence of four winning naps with an 18-1 bull’s-eye strike (23.0 on BETDAQ). His bold nap yesterday, Lir Speciale (3rd 7-2 from BETDAQ 7.4), was beaten about a length, short of room a furlong out.
Thursday: profit on the day 32.85 points
WON 18-1 YORKSHIRE LADY (from 23.0 BETDAQ)
Wednesday: profit on the day 5.00
WON 4-6 BAYSIDE BOY (nap)
Tuesday: Profit on the day 18.30
WON 11-2 CITY VAULTS
WON 1-1 SHE’S CENTIMENTAL (nap)
MORE BIG-ODDS BULL’S-EYE BETS TODAY: Today’s bull’s-eye bets are at BETDAQ offers of 43.0, 37.0, 25.0 and 10.5, and his supernap was paying six for every 10 this morning.
BAAEED NO LONGER TOP OF THE WORLD
He’s another Frankel! No, not Baaeed but the American colt, Flightline. The four-year-old has been stepped up to 139, a pound behind Frankel’s final figure.
The world-ranking committee dropped Baaeed from first place despite his 10 out of 10, and he’s now trailing on 135 before his final race in the Champion Stakes on October 15.
This follows Flightline’s five out of five when he annihilated Dubai World Cup winner Country Grammer by more than 19 lengths at Del Mar, on his way to the Breeders’ Cup Classic on November 5.
The new world 1-2-3: Flightline 139, Baaeed 135, Nature Strip 126.
ACTION! READY TO BOLT UP IN SPRINT
⭕ 2.35 Ayr (Harry Rosebery Stakes) This 2yo Listed sprint can go to Bolt Action, if getting the pace at this shorter trip to fire for the in-form Roger Varian.
Close up sixth in the Windsor Castle, he was a neck away from defying the hat-trick seeker who won the Champion Two-Year-old at Ripon.
There were four future winners in front of him at the finish of the Windsor Castle, led by subsequent Group-1 Phoenix Stakes scorer Little Big Bear.
Bolt Action trounced New Definition four lengths before that one was short of room, beaten just over a length by Prince Of Pillo at Ripon.
Union Court comes into it but a bigger threat on form would be Kerindia, twice third in Group-3 tests in France.
Her connections will be hoping the forecast sunny day does not dry the ground too much. Even granted good to soft remains, Kerindia (out of gate 5) has to cope with a far-side draw.
25.0 GUILDED HAS A TOUCH OF CLASS
⭕ 3.10 Ayr (Scottish Sprint) Expect a split field here, which will have jockeys looking for draw clues to the series of sprints, starting with the Bronze Cup – the very next race – and culminating in tomorrow’s Ayr Gold Cup.
In fact, the last four Scottish Sprints, won out of stalls 11, 1, 5, 4, match up twice in four years with the result by stall of the Bronze Cup only 35 minutes away: 16, 9, 21, 4.
Likely favourite, the mare Gale Force Maya, has had a terrific run, mainly at York (1311), all on a sound surface but, out of stall 16, will have to make her own pace down the near side, which often lags behind for a couple of furlongs.
Mo Celita (10) has recently managed to place and likes cut in the ground. She came late at Doncaster the last day but her wins at Haydock and Deauville last Spring and summer were from the front.
The stats tell us that three-year-olds (three out of four) win this from low stalls (three out of four) and that you should be with Karl Burke ( form figures in this, an unbeaten 11).
Placed in a Group 3 and fourth in a Group 1 last year, his runner, Guilded (gate 5), who won at Ayr earlier in the season off a 4lb higher mark, discards cheekpieces in favour of a visor today.
Drying ground would suit Irish raider Sablonne (out of 3) at 43.0, with Guilded 25.0. Pink Crystal (10.5) is improving all the time, and was hampered twice the last day.
THE NEXT ARRIVAL IS A 37.0 WINNER
⭕ 3.45 Ayr (Bronze Cup) An even bigger field, and there could be a three-way split. It’s not a race for favourites (2-10) nor for older horses (just 1-10 over the age of 5).
I was a Lucky Lucky Man (WON 12-1 from 18.0 on BETDAQ) in 2018, one of two recent three-year-old winners. The same stable has Beatie Is Back (gate 5) and Monsieur Kodi (10) of the same age group today, but both are unattractive on form.
Joanna Mason did really well to hold on for me at 18-1 here yesterday, has won twice on Late Arrival, who has huge weights in lower-class the last twice, and could strike again here squeezing through better horses but with 10lb less in the saddle. Betdaq Betting Exchange value 37.0 (24.0 e.w. four places at 0.25)
HIGHBANK GETS HIS CUE FROM YBIR
⭕ 3.28 Newbury (Haynes, Hanson and Clark Stakes) Fields of five and four in the last two seasons have produced Breeders Cup Turf winner Yibir (2020) and in 2021 Zechariah and Westover were the one-two, subsequent Geoffrey Freer winner and Irish Derby hero on their way to Group glory.
Can the race throw up another big player? Second and third behind Ybir’s stablemate Highbank on the July Course are unbeaten in three races since.
⭕ 4.03 Newbury Sometimes form works out to a pound, and those who can’t trust it lose out and kick themselves afterwards.
Here we have collateral pointers to Saleymm, if he runs to his recent form, when making all at Haydock to hold Dubai Poet a couple of lengths, though giving 8lb.
Jumby, giving 6lb, won the Hungerford here by less than two lengths from Dubai Poet. Earlier in the year, Shine So Bright pipped Saleymm a length when in receipt of 3lb.
The danger to Saleymm (6.1 on BETDAQ) must be Sacred (2.28) who won last year’s Hungerford, and returns to the scene after being beaten favourite in summer Group-2 tests at York and Goodwood. Gets weight from all the principals today, dropped two levels.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
