18.0 BETDAQ BET BEATEN A SHORT–HEAD: After Daqman’s nap tried hard to throw the race away (and succeeded at the line), his ‘hidden horse’, Intellogent, was beaten on the nod by a short-head (2nd 14-1 from 18.0 on BETDAQ) at Newmarket yesterday. Now he has to sort through 201 races without getting (Easter) egg on his face.

HE’S STILL ON THE CLASSIC TRIALS TRAIL: Daqman continues to map out the Classic trials, which have been a winner for him so far, bagging the 3.5 Native Trail before his Craven Stakes win reduced the odds to around 6-4 for the 2,000 Guineas.

201 EASTER HOLIDAY RACES!

EASTER PARADE: There are 201 races due to be held at 28 Easter meetings over four days in England and Ireland, starting today.

TODAY: All-Weather Championships in six races at Newcastle overlap the AW Vase meeting of seven races at Lingfield, with a total of nine events on terrestrial TV. Daqman takes his pick.

TOMORROW: Seven meetings in England, including the start of the Greenham Meeting at Newbury, Finals Day over jumps at Haydock and Day One of the Fairyhouse Grand National meeting.

SUNDAY: Newbury and Fairyhouse among seven meeting all told.

MONDAY: A total of 28 Easter meetings in England (22) and Ireland (6) are completed by nine holiday venues on Mon, featuring the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.

CLASSIC TRIALS: The Classic-trials season continues at Newbury tomorrow. Every trial so far has had Daqman’s stats, form and early-birds treatment.

⭕ 2.25 Newbury tomorrow (Fred Darling Stakes) One-time much favoured by Noel Murless, Michael Stoute, John Dunlop and Henry Cecil, all master trainers of the filly, as is its recent principal protagonist Ralph Beckett (2010, 2012 and 2015 winners).

⭕ 3.00 Newbury tomorrow (Greenham Stakes) Brought back to favour by a certain big player in 2011 (is it all that long ago?).. Frankel. He moved like the wind; blew the opposition away. Form figures: 11111111111111.

⭕ 3.56 Newbury, Sunday This 1m 2f conditions race last year produced Hurricane Lane, the Dante winner, Epsom Derby third and Irish Derby winner, for trainer-in-form and champion of England, Charlie Appleby.

⭕ 2.20 Epsom, Tuesday (Blue Riband Trial Stakes) Cracksman, placed in the two big Derbys, but a better four-year-old, won this in 2017, as the third of four consecutive winners for John Gosden.

⭕ 3.40 Newmarket, Saturday, April 30 (2,000 Guineas)

⭕ 3.40 Newmarket, Sunday, May 1 (1,000 Guineas)

VARIAN SET FOR GOOD FRIDAY

⭕ 2.55 Lingfield Zameka looks good here for Roger Varian who has four runners today all with good chances on this feast of all-weather racing.

The three-year-old has gone 321 in his first three starts and now starts life in handicap company and is also having his first run since being gelded.

His opening mark of 81 looks fair enough and he is preferred to Aasser who also starts handicapping off a similar mark but doesn’t seem to have achieved as much as the selection – so far at least.

WINNERS ARE FLOWING

⭕ 3.10 Newcastle (3 Year Old All-Weather Championships) There are some serious winning runs on the line here – eight of the 10 strong field were winners last time out and even the BETDAQ Sportsbook 66/1 rank outsider (in the mid-morning market) Show Maker is bidding for a hat-trick of wins.

Only one runner is unbeaten though and that record might stay intact today with Tiber Flow for William Haggas. ‘Tiber’ already has a course and distance success to his name having won here on debut.

He has followed up with narrow wins over seven furlongs here and then at Southwell last time out when he made a winning start in handicap company. Back in conditions company he has something to prove on raw figures but has given the distinct impression there is plenty of improvement still to come.

If the official ratings are right then El Caballo will be taking home the £77k first prize. He has won four of his five starts over a mix of 5,6 and 7 furlongs on both the all-weather and turf. That sequence has included a course and distance win in February when he made all to beat another Haggas trained runner in Canonized.

SEA LOOKS SUPER

⭕ 4.45 Newcastle (Easter Classic All-Weather Middle Distance Championships) Tyrrhenian Sea looks worthy of supernap status on the first running on the Northern edition of the AW Championships.

Hopefully Roger Varian will already have trained a winner with Zameka and can land an across the card double here with Tyrrhenian Sea who should continue his love affair with Gosforth Park – he won his first three starts here over the mile trip and then had valid excuses when losing his unbeaten at Kempton last time out when fourth of six. Despite the finishing position he was only beaten half a length having repeatedly being denied a clear run and looked hugely unlucky.

What it did prove was that the step-up in trip to 1m 2f was no problem to him and he should still have plenty of scope to account for the likes of United Front (well beaten in the Lincoln) and Living Legend who was a narrow winner of a Listed race at Kempton last time out but has been weak in early trading on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
