⚠️ HEADS UP Her Indoors is joined by Outlaw Peter as the first Jumps Fortune Cookies: Outlaw Peter landed Daqman’s supernap in a Worcester bumper yesterday: lost the lead twice, 5f out and again marginally 2f out, but each time Harry Cobden drew on hidden reserves and he kept on strongly. Has a bright future over hurdles.

37.0 SQUARE GIVEN A BONUS STALL

1.50 Newmarket (Cornwallis Stakes) The accent today is on two-year-olds, and we start with a race that last year produced Winter Power, who has leapt from a 95 that day to a 117 rating, with three strikes culminating in the Nunthorpe.

A feature of the Cornwallis results on soft ground has been success for the low stalls, where I shall have a long pot down the odds table with Albion Square, seemingly exposed but having his first race on the soft.

Ran in the Railway Stakes and beaten less than three lengths by 111-rated Sacred Bridge in a big-field sales race at Naas. First-time tongue-tie.

BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE 37.0 Albion Square

THE GOOD 2YO STABLE TO FOLLOW

⭕ 2.25 Newmarket (Oh So Sharp Stakes) Usually produces the nearly horses, like Andre Fabre’s filly Miss France (2013), runner-up without winning in a sequence of Group races.

Fabre decided not to send over Raclette for today’s renewal and Gavin Cromwell has not declared Moyglare and Park Stakes placed Sunset Shiraz, who could run at the Curragh on Sunday instead.

That leaves today’s top rating as Perfect News off 100, roughly the same as the last two winners, so again unlikely to produce a champion filly.

In fact, Perfect News has already been beaten out of the frame in a race at Salisbury on a par with this Group 3 (Pearl Glory second, earning a rating of 95). Perfect News did win over today’s 7f CD but that was on firm ground.

Frankie Dettori rides Good American, well related and from the Ralph Beckett yard, which does extremely well with fillies and already has the Lagardere winning colt, Angel Bleu.

BETDAQ value 4.8 Good American

PRICE OF FAME IS 9.0 ON BETDAQ

⭕ 3.15 York Royal Hunt Cup fourth Ouzo has dropped back to last year’s rating when he won this race on the soft.

Hartswood’s form over a mile at York is 123 and he was sixth over further recently in the John Smith’s Cup here but his winning form is all on a sound surface.

Fame And Acclaim, a hat-trick winner for Joseph O’Brien, was a good third over CD in the summer. Down in the weights and with conditions in his favour today for the first time since he was pipped for a big-field handicap at the Curragh in July.

BETDAQ value 9 Fame And Acclaim, 9.6 Ouzo

THE ADVANTAGE IS TO INSPIRAL

⭕ 3.35 Newmarket (Fillies Mile) I forecast in my preview that Inspiral would be odds-on favourite for this Fillies’ Mile (1.87 this morning): unbeaten in three starts, including in the May Hill at Doncaster.

I put Team Gosden’s 1,000 Guineas favourite in my final-fling Fortune Cookies for the Flat.

Winners of this Mile in recent years include two champions from Aidan O’Brien’s hat-trick of 2014-16, Minding and Rhododendron.

His filly in today’s race, Concert Hall, won the Park Stakes at the Curragh; in fact, her only poor run was on the soft, which could be the prevailing conditions today.

So, from what we know, Mise En Scene, a half-sister to 1,000 Guineas winner, Speciosa, is the danger to Inspiral, after turning over the favourite in the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood.

She has not yet tried soft ground, and this is a very different track though, on the face of it, she is close up to Inspiral on a line through Prosperous Voyage, beaten less than two lengths by Mise En Scene at Goodwood; nearly four lengths off Inspiral at Doncaster.

Inspiral oozes class, by Frankel, out of a mare by Selkirk, who loved soft ground and passes it on down the line.

FLEURMAN SAVED UP FOR THIS

⭕ 3.50 York Ralph Beckett has won this twice in the last four years and has soft-ground stayer Fleurman saved up for a third strike. Fleurman is up in the weights but so, too, his nearest rivals.

Third in the Melrose here, Ravenscraig Castle, was then turned over at odds on, and missing those two chances has cost him 9lb. Mahrajaan is punished 10lb for a Hamilton class-3 win.

BETDAQ value 10.0 Fleurman

IT’S A MOSH PIT OF WINNERS

⭕ 4.10 Newmarket This race launched Trueshan on his rise and rise to the British Champions Long-Distance Trophy and recently to the French Gold Cup. So all you have to do is pick a fortune cookie for 2022 from 15 three-year-olds, 10 of them winners of two or more races this season!

Nine have won over the distance but only Boltaway over CD. He’s been a big improver but all his success has come on firmish ground. Siskany is 13lb higher than for this last strike; gelded since. Injazati has won only over 10f.

The Frankel grey Moshaawer (out of a Sea The Stars mare) was second in the Melrose here and a good run from the third, Ravenscraig Castle (3.50 today) would boost his chances.

BETDAQ value 5.3 Moshaawer

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
