BULL’S-EYE BETS TO BAG 50 POINTS IN THE DEVON NATIONAL: Today there’s a horse-by-horse analysis of the Devon National at Exeter with bets at 8.6 and 13.5 staked to win 50 points and hit the bull’s eye. The nap is at Warwick, which passed a morning inspection.

ALL JOY AS FORM TAKES A BIG BOOST

3.00 Warwick A Grade-2 novices’ hurdle saved from Friday’s lost Sandown meeting retains the quality usually seen at its Esher venue.

Desaray Girl has won at the trip but course-winner Emmas Joy and Vienna Court, both scorers over 2m, are top players on breeding over today’s 2m 3f.

In fact, BETDAQ 4.9 offer Emmas Joy, has already proved her worth over further, beaten just half a length by Cill Anna here at Warwick over 2m 5f on the last day of 2019, trying to give the winner 7lb.

Since then Cill Anna has scooted home at Wincanton in a better race, and is marked down for Aintree by the Paul Nicholls yard.

3.30 Lingfield Keith Dalgleish brought a raiding party of three down from Scotland and won at Kempton on Wednesday.

Here’s the last of the trio, Fuente, who won over 6f on today’s course under Joe Fanning on the first of the month. Looks ready for the extra furlong now, and beats Ginger Fox on a line through Barrington.

Ginger Fox’s best form is at Kempton where he’s been improving (2-4, always in first three) for his new yard but it looks a close-run thing now with De Vegas Kid at the revised weights.

Calder Prince races over 6f, 7f and 1m but, whatever the trip, it’s the same old bridesmaid story (form 24232; the last three AW) since scoring on turf, where he’s 12lb lower.

Bungee Jump does all his winning at Chepstow, while dual Irish winner Tintoretto is an unknown quantity, moved to Lambourn. I took 3.65 Fuente.

SURELY ONE FOR US AT BETDAQ 13.5

4.20 Exeter (Devon National) Dawson City goes for a hat-trick in this 3m 6f+ marathon, off the same mark as last year and with 11-year-olds already having won the race three times in the decade.

Questions to answer: will blinkers boost Cobolobo? Can Weststreet bounce back? Is the ground deep enough for Vinnie Lewis?

Here is the Daqman order in, with offers and positions taken in the BETDAQ orange at 8 a.m. Compare with the market at 1 p.m. and again one hour before the race. Or simply keep your Daq up all day!

🏇 8.6 Christmas in April Good novice form in the autumn before winning the Sussex National (3m 4f plus, soft) in January, travelling well throughout. He’s 2-2 in cheekpieces. BETDAQ offer taken.

🏇 13.5 One For Us Won the Devon Stayers here (3m 6.5f) last Spring and the Southern National at Fontwell in November. Tailed off the last day but form second run after a break (since November 2017) is 1011. BETDAQ offer taken.

🏇 4.9 Dawson City Went clear between the last two fences a year ago and stayed on to win six lengths under Tom Bellamy, who keeps the ride. It was soft when he won the previous year and, on each occasion, he went into the race without much form elsewhere, as now. Stakes saver.

🏇 7.6 Belle Empress Penalised for winning here at Exeter (3m 6.5f, soft, December) but better off with Christmas In April and Rathlin Rose on Sussex National fourth (makes mistakes).

🏇 9.2 Cobolobo Making significant progress when blundered 16th in this race last year (up 6lb on that). Won a class 4 at Haydock in December (3m 1.5f soft) but then jumped poorly in the Mandarin at Newbury. First-time blinkers today.

🏇 23.0 Rathlin Rose Has always aimed high: Scottish and Welsh Grand Nationals, Becher Chase, even the Pardubicka. This is easier and 6lb turnaround in weights on Sussex National form (3rd) gives him hopes of catching Christmas In April, but that one is four years younger and an improver.

🏇 25.0 Weststreet Good form last Spring, third Surrey National and won Highland National at Perth after four-miler at Hexham (heavy). Needs to bounce back after modest efforts since, fading behind Christmas In April and Rathlin Rose in the Sussex National.

🏇 19.5 Vinnie Lewis Won 2018 Sussex National (3m 4f plus, heavy), just 3lb lower than today, but only fifth same race in January. Good second at Sandown last Spring. A slogger.

🏇 11.5 Perfect Candidate Had a good year in 2017, winning here at Exeter and in a Grade 3 at Cheltenham. He’s 13 now and had slid 27lb down the ratings until back to form at Haydock in November and second there afterwards to Lord Du Mesnil, who was just beaten in Saturday’s Grand National Trial.

🏇 11.0 Ice Cool Champs Won his first chase in January (3m Wetherby soft) after wind surgery and moving stables to Kerry Lee but half the field failed to finish, including the favourite.

🏇 19.0 Regal Flow Aged 13, not won for 17 races since taking Midlands Grand National of 2017 (heavy, 4m 2f). Had slipped 18lb down the handicap, when short-headed in veterans handicap at Sandown in January.

🏇 29.0 Billy Bronco Wins once a season, which happened at Sedgefield (3m 2.5f) in November. Pulled up behind Christmas In April the last day.

🏇 23.0 St Erney Lightly-raced novice who won at Exeter in March (3m soft) but absence since is a worry.

🏇 25.0 Indy Five Decent novice 2017-18 but has failed to finish four of last six starts and looks risky.
